Recently visited. Staff was utterly rude. This is nothing out of the usual however, it seems like they become nastier & nastier. Waving their hands in customers faces telling them to hurry up while ordering. Screaming at customers from across the bar. From what I heard by asking around the entire family runs it and they all act in the same ill mannered – distasteful way. Won’t be visiting again , as well as many others I know. This is a “last resort” establishment.

You will never beat two dollar shots here in Northumberland Pa. Bobs is one of the best dive bars around and I can bet money on it. The workers are amazing with spunky attitude that makes it feel like home. From Arielle to candy, to Sharyn, to braysha, to Sasha. They are all amazing people with a heart of gold and fire. Three pool tables and gambling machines for days hahaha, you’ll never be without fun. This is coming from one of their personal favorites. But never and I mean never, snap at your bartenders.

Great place always loved but lastnight I was having a rough night and my bf wanted to stop in for a drink to get my mind off things. The bartender wasn’t very pleasant I smiled said hi upon arriving and she didn’t even look at me… a lady was in after us who never got served and ended up walking out. After we get our drinks I said thank you she still ignored me. Never asked us if we wanted another drink and someone had called asked if they were open and she said “didn’t I answer the phone”? Just completely rude and not very good for business if you ask me. I’m a bartender and I’d never treat my guests this way.

Pretty much what I expected except a the menu was non existent. I expected bar food but we weren’t even given plates for the pizza. The bartender acted annoyed or weirded out by us. I doubt I’ll make that mistake again.

In 2016/2017 I Spent a year in the area on the Shamokin dam power project working as a Boilermaker out of town from Buffalo ,NY . The people treated me and my fellow Boilermakers great . It’s been a long time but since then every once in awhile while having beer I think of the Washington tavern and the bartender who made sure I got back to me place safely because there were hardly any taxi services or Uber back then. They were great people. Thank you !!!!
Hopefully I can stop in and say hi one of these days when I’m passing through. Great place and great people !

Tried this establishment for the first time yesterday after hearing good things about the food. The cheesesteaks were excellent and Candy, the person in charge, was not only a good cook but a charming server and hostess. We can recommend highly!

Just went out tonight to shoot pool and have a few drinks while our son was at his winter formal dance. Wasn’t expecting to socialize with people as much as we did but it ended up being a great time meeting new people. Fun tavern with good spirited people!
