I love this spot! I hadn’t visited in years, and I’m happy to say the food is just as delicious as ever. It’s truly a hidden gem, small and cozy, but filled with amazing food and love. The service is excellent, and they make you feel right at home every time you visit. We sampled a bit of everything: snow crab legs, trout, catfish, oysters, a crab cake, a soft crab burger, fries, and slaw. The catfish was really good, and the oysters were my personal favorite, so good that I ordered some to take home.
A huge thank you to the amazing team: Nehemiah, Rowena, Netta, Wayne, and DaQuan. If I missed anyone, please charge it to my mind, not my heart! Keep up the outstanding work and keep smiling.

We ate there for the first time on Jan 4, 2026. It’s a small place but has plenty of seating(more than we expected!), it’s clean, inviting and full of hometown beachy vibes!
We ordered snow crab, hushpuppies and shrimp..and they sent our clams and potatoes for us to try for free! Everything was cooked to perfection! The crab was fat and juicy, cooked perfect and cracked and slid out like a dream! The shrimp was sweet and soft, the hushpuppies were hot and crispy and the clams were fat and amazing!

The staff though….the staff was amazing! Attentive, engaging, happy and looked like they genuinely enjoyed being there!

We are on our way back there right now for lunch! Don’t pass up this gem, you’ll miss out on a great meal and great experience if you do!

We were in town for a quick trip and needed to find somewhere for dinner and came upon this place. We loved the atmosphere of the place – it was laid back and the service was very friendly. The food was excellent as well. Loved the choices we had; we both got the pick 3 dinner and you definitely get a lot of food with it. We will definitely visit here again in the future if we are in town.

I look forward to my once a month stop when I come to Washington, I’m excited & I can’t wait to get my crab legs and my card stamped. I placed my order at 1242 came to pick it up at 1255 course expected to wait a little while, but it was ready bagged up, waiting for me, Which should’ve been a red flag because I’ve never gotten it that fast. So I’m starving I pulled over to eat I open it and the crab legs all barely have any meat, they’re over cooked and dry as ever. I’m looking for the fresh juicy ones and there is nothing like that in these trays: I paid for 3 clusters and got my heart broke each time I could of just tossed my 50 dollars out the window for this experience, I’m now still hungry and disappointed so that will set the tone for the rest of my day unfortunately. I’ve never seen juicy crab meat stand so stiff in my life, than I’m give 100 condiments to what? Eat the shells with ? I’m sorry but I am offended I work long hard hours for that money just to be out 50 dollars and still hungry

The shrimp was very very tasty they had such a good flavor but Be aware of what ever that is There calling coleslaw it was Probley the worst. I beleave iv ever put in my mouth ever in 40 years an ive tried coleslaw all over the Country an I love me good some good coleslaw with my seafood an or BBQ but that rt to start with it was not cold at all an it was h
was very bland an very dry an was not chopped up to my liking but some ppl may like it that way. But what really got me was. The service was not the best an the price Was way to much for me now there was a lot on shrimp on thr plat I would say well over a pound. But over all not worth the money but great shrimp

Friendly, and the food was great. The softshell crab was tiny which was extremely disappointing.

The place has a cool vibe, and very friendly staff. However, the food was a very big disappointment. I ordered the scallops (fried) and crab cake. We also both ordered she crab soup. I’m not sure about what kind of soup was delivered to the table but I’m pretty sure it was more of a potato chowder than a she crab soup. I didn’t find a hint of crab.
The scallops had an “off” smell and taste and I was a little afraid to eat them. The crab cake had zero .. And I do mean zero seasoning. If you’re looking for great seafood, I’d say try another place.
We did tell the server, and she brought me some shrimp instead… They were at least not “off” but also not very flavorful, most everything went into the trash. I don’t enjoy leaving a bad review for such nice people. But I hope the owner will take some time to try the food and make some changes. This place could be great if the food was good. As it is, I see no reason to visit a second time. Pretty disappointed spending $60 just to throw it out.

Admittedly I came pre dinner rush, so I can’t speak to how crowded it may get. I got the pick 2 combo. You have plenty of choices. I chose fried shrimp, clam strips and fries.

You order them to be fried, light, medium, heavy. Which is nice.

You can tell they take pride in their food. People have called it a ” hole in the wall” I don’t agree. It has a crab shack vibe. It really feels authentic to what most would think about for sea food. It’s clean. That’s what I care about

By the time you place your order at the counter, get you table tag and get your drink and plastic ware the food is delivered.

It’s delivered HOT and fresh.

If you are in this neck of the woods and have s hankering for sea food stop here. You won’t be sorry

Overall very happy with my visit to Washington Crab. The regular shrimp plate with two sides and hushpuppies is a fantastic value. They ask if you want your fry light, medium or heavy which was very nice. The medium fry was perfect.

I tried the sampler plate with shrimp, scallops and flounder, double green beans and hushpuppies. The serving was large and perfectly cooked. I got a light fry and couldn’t tell much difference to the medium fry but tasty regardless.

The popcorn shrimp weren’t much smaller than the regular shrimp so I’d opt for the regular shrimp over popcorn. The flavor is much better.

Slaw is excellent. Green beans tasty. Sweet tea delicious.

The only “downside” was the she crab soup. It wasn’t bad at all but I’m more familiar with the Outer Banks she crab which is thicker, more bisque-like, and with sherry. This was more of a crab soup with potatoes and loads of butter. Not bad, just not the she crab I’m used to.

I look forward to returning though and trying more of the menu! Great spot.

I would have posted a food pic, but we destroyed that plate. Fried flounder, and oysters with yams, okra, and slaw. Nothing was short of AMAZING! And the food came out fast! Hands down will be back, don’t pass up this option… Oh, and the staff were 150%
