First time here, the croissant was delicious, buttery, crispy and the egg and sausage were great. The staff were friendly and the vibe was nice. I would come back soon.

I loved this building and the atmosphere, but the pastries were just okay. My friend said that her cinnamon roll was very good. I’ve definitely had better chocolate croissants & the beignets weren’t very good. Maybe because it was later in the day, but they were rather dry. The service was excellent.

The place was basically empty at 9am on a Monday so service was quick at the counter. The bagel with cream cheese was just ok. They only had butter or cream cheese option. The bagel at this Cafe did sell other baked items but it was clear the bagel was store bought. The cream cheese placed on the bagel was just dabbed on and you could barely taste it. The bagel cost was about $3.50 but truly was not worth it. I should have asked at the “Bakery” style Cafe if the make the bagels.

Great little stop for breakfast and great beverages!! Lavender chai with oat milk!! Yum! Super accommodating staff! They even called the owner to ask about the type of flour used in the gluten free… ❣️

When you are in Washington NC, don’t miss stopping for a drink/food at the Washington Cafe. They have delicious coffee options with many favors to chose from, and their food is delightful! All bakery/baked items are made right there and they are not opposed to doing some special things, so ask. They have acai bowls, salads, home made French toast, breakfast burritos, muffins, cookies , croissant sandwiches, paninis, avocado toast, cheese biscuits, etc. soups, etc. if you are like me and wants options other than burgers and fries, go there. You can also get your coffee in a to go cup so you can take it as you walk along the River. I had a homemade granola (gluten free) bar the other day and it was to die for!!

A solid 4.5 stars rounded up! The coffee is truly delicious- and I feel like the bakery is getting its sea legs under it. I’ve been a few different times and today was genuinely the best thus far! They’re clearly working to manage and plan for the demand, and I LOVE the pastry box options (where you can order 7 or 14 pastries for a flat rate). It works well for me as I often buy several treats to bring home and share. The food is really improving and I’ve enjoyed the things I’ve bought. The owner could not be nicer or more engaging and the barista did the cutest job with some latte art- I’m excited to return and try more things!

Very cute coffee shop and cafe I just stopped in for coffee and their bakery case enticed me to get a ginger molasses cookie too. Both were great my Mom just moved to this town so was visiting her for a couple days and exploring. I will be back!!
