This sushi restaurant is the best I have ever had the pleasure to eat at, ever. Lisa and Vic were just wonderful. The food presentation and taste were phenomenal. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!

Just north of the local jazz bars on Frenchmen St. sits a delicious sushi restaurant with chill vibes. Excellent service and a cornucopia of clientele adds to the friendly atmosphere here. Highly recommend the unagi!

What atmosphere! I really don’t want to share this magical bar and superb sushi place because when you go here and discover I’m right it won’t be that perfect quiet spot for me anymore.
Get a rail old fashion. It’s perfect. And the sushi is a work of art for your taste buds. You know you’re gonna want to go

Everything here was delightful! Our server, Victor, provided excellent service- fast, friendly, attentive and detailed oriented- he didn’t miss a beat! The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, clean and well kept, food was prepared with skill, and everything was cooked to perfection. I’m very particular on how I like certain things and this place (thanks to Victor’s service and accommodating nature) did not disappoint. I definitely plan to come back soon!!

Very slow so there was only one waiter. Seemed like he cared more for the fancy dressed people than our table. The food had good taste. The carb soup needs to mention it is not real crab but imitation carb that was a major let down. The scallops were a disgrace. They were wafer thin like one scallop had been split three times. Probably will not be back.

the BEST sushi ever! I love it so much I went TWICE in one weekend. The appetizers are sooo good and the Sushi is perfect!! The LSU roll is my go-to! I love this place and the family that owns it is the BEST! Always great service when we come!

Skip it, not worth it. The food prices are reasonable but the food is bland. Service slooooooow. We were the only people seated and waited forever for our food. We ordered chicken teriyaki which was decent. The shrimp dish was disgusting. When I complained I was told that no one ever complained before and that it’s a best seller. Long story short spend your money somewhere else.

Mediocre food, terribly slow service. Went on a Monday night at 7:45pm. Bar was empty and there were 3 tables seated. A sign said to seat yourself. We waited 25 minutes to be greeted and receive waters, then waited another 40 minutes for them to bring out 2 out of 4 people’s food. After another 20 minutes they brought out the other 2 people’s food. 1 roll was never brought at all, but we were still charged for it and had to ask for it to be removed. The food was mediocre – very affordably priced but small portions and somewhat messy/bland looking. The summer roll ($10.50) and spicy tuna roll ($6.00) are pictured below. Two in our group ordered the spicy tuna roll and one person had chunks of wasabi in theirs for some reason and had to spit out the rolls because they weren’t palatable. Can’t complain too much based on the price but that’s 2 hours of our life we can’t get back.

Nice place! Filling rolls that are fresh and large. Great variety. They have lunch specials Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 3:30pm. You can also order pickup!

Have been coming to this location for years, it doesn’t have the same mojo that it once did. Service was fine and nothing to complain about there but sushi did not taste fresh. The atmosphere, the lack of music, the smell of the restaurant, and the sushi was all just stale. I want to support this spot but with Royal Sushi killing it with freshness around the corner, and top notch options such as newcomer Tsunami or Haiku around town, I unfortunately have to say that Wasabi has lost its shine and is probably the one of the lesser quality sushi options in town.
