I have mixed feelings about this place. First time here. We walked in and the owner (I’m assuming) greeted us. He then proceeded to wipe down every table and thoroughly wipe down the trash can while we stood around waiting to order. My husband and I ordered fresh fish items and were told it would take 15-20 min. Seemed odd for throwing a couple fresh ingredients together, especially because there was only one small order ahead of us. We tried to order a side but the guy told us he didn’t feel like making it today. I watched as the kitchen guy moved incredibly slow and then immediately understood the wait time. Feels like this could’ve been avoided if the owner had jumped in. Instead he stood around watching the closing Olympics. My tropical tuna burrito was mostly cream cheese. Overall, a disappointing experience and won’t be back. I guess it explains why this place wasn’t busy.

What a unique food choice! So cool and delicious. I got the Toro and sub the chips and salsa for edamame.

Wasabi Juan’s is one of those spots you try once and then start craving weekly. The food is ridiculously fresh, flavorful, and filling without feeling heavy. Their fusion of Asian and Mexican flavors just works, everything tastes bold, creative, and made with care.

If you haven’t tried Wasabi Juan’s yet, you’re missing out. Do yourself a favor and go hungry, you’ll want to try more than one thing

First time here and tried the sushi nachos. Such a great dish that you can’t get just anywhere! The flavor was incredible but the value wasn’t so great. I spent about $15 a piece for my meal and for each of my son’s meals. They got the sushi burritos and rated them a 6/10. One of my sons immediately wondered aloud about their profit margin.

I would definitely go back but hope they increase the amount of food for the price.

I lived in Birmingham from 2018-2022 and went to Wasabi Juan’s at least biweekly for that entire time. In 2023 I moved to St. Louis and I haven’t stopped craving Wasabi Juan’s. No other restaurant I’ve found compares to it. Honestly, I’d make the 8 hour drive just to get one of their burritos. Every single time I come visit, even for Christmas, I planned my visit around Wasabi Juan’s hours so I could make sure I got their food. I’ve lived here in America in about 10 different states, and I’ve lived in southern Brazil. Wasabi Juan’s is still my favorite restaurant of all time. I haven’t even found salsa that I like as much as theirs. If I had the money, I’d open a Wasabi Juan’s franchise here in STL, purely for my own enjoyment. From 8 hours away – I’ll see you guys soon.

Been meaning to stop here a while and finally got the chance on a slow day after running errands. It was amazing! The staff is super nice, the store was well kept, and the food was amazing. It even looked just as good as something you’d see in an ad. The value was really good too because I wasn’t expecting much for 2 tacos given how expensive everything has become lately but they were pretty filling!

Nice, helpful guy at the order window guided me through the menu and I was happy with his recommendations.
Hippy Burrito with a side of cucumber was fresh and light, on the point on spiciness, flavorful, interesting, and full of textures. The sushi burrito was fun but I really enjoyed the extremely simple cucumber salad that came with a light dusting of sesame seeds.

I’m super impressed with how my experience was. The cashier was super friendly, the food was amazing and is a hidden gem here in Birmingham! They also offer gluten free and vegetarian options!! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Okay so the concept right away is awesome! Sushi burritos, chips and salsa on the side, nachos with poke toppings… amazing! Funky fun inside with posters lining the wall for upcoming concerts and art events. The staff was extremely helpful with any questions about the menu. The food came out extremely fast as well! On to the food: Delish! My daughter loves miso soup so we each order one. The portion is generous and has lots of yummy tofu and that perfect umami broth! For my burrito I ordered the LHM (Lord Have Mercy!) spicy tuna*, shrimp, cream cheese, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, & avocados. Godzilla size so extra everything! Highly recommend. Very fresh tuna and loved the sauce. My husband ordered a Godzilla size Rick Roll: grilled steak, spicy tuna*, cream cheese, ninja sauce, unagi sauce & Dorito crunch. That Doritos crunch though!!! Omg so good! Don’t knock it til you try it! Safe to say I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve only ordered food once from here we got it delivered to our office. I believed I had ordered the Lord Have Mercy. It was pretty good and I would definiely come again but it wasn’t mind blowing and I thought the side of chips and salsa was kinda lame. Next time I’d get no side or choose a different one. Expect the same pricing as normal sushi. I do really appreciate their website though! Straight to the point.
