Late review but I miss going to Walt’s!
Was a J1 summer student working around the area this summer but I used to head down to Walt’s for breakfast and the lady always remembers my usual coffee with milk on the side! That made me feel so appreciated and amazed with the lovely American culture.
My go-tos are always the Cornbeef Hash and with homemade rye bread. The biscuits and gravy are so good too! Occasionally I’d get the omelette, but in general if you’re looking for a great breakfast and brunch spot, Walt’s one of the best in town!
Currently thinking about Walt’s cheeseburger from Cheeseburger Festival.

Great food! You need to try the homemade bread. My wife loves the authentic Corned Beef Hash. Friendly waitresses and patrons. My eat-alone breakfast quickly turned into a friendly chat with everyone in the place!

I drove over an hour to try the cheeseburger festival winner and after eating TWO it was clear I’d drive 3 hours to have it again! The first one I got I had them double the patties up because I’m a burger guy and why not. After finishing that one I knew I had to have another though I figured I better try it in it’s original form. Spectacular! I also tried the minestrone as well as the mushroom & swiss burger both of which were delicious.
The service was fast, friendly and courteous. The prices were reasonable and the location was darn good too.
If you’re going to Caseville or just driving through you should stop at Walt’s!

Had a wonderful and filling breakfast. Loved the biscuits and gravy and the omelet. It was about a 20min wait on Saturday morning but worth it! Staff was friendly and working fast.

Such awesome buttermilk pancakes, bacon, and homemade toast. The place is decorated with awesome beach themed decorations. Their menu has a lot of stuff to try next time I go.

Great food, service, and prices are reasonable but they do charge for extras or sides like cream cheese, etc.. They don’t stay open late but breakfast and lunch are good and they have some good specials as well. Good place to go if you’re camping in the area but sometimes there’s a wait if it’s a festival or busy weekend. We miss Ruthie but everyone there is friendly with a family atmosphere.

I recently visited Walt’s Restaurant in Caseville, MI, and while the food was decent, the pricing is absurd. They seem to nickel-and-dime you for everything. I ordered a breakfast croissant, which was $7.00 for just the croissant and a piece of cheese. Then, they tacked on another $0.25 just to add an egg. I also ordered a bagel for $3.25, and they charged an additional $0.60 just for cream cheese. On top of that, they charge for drink refills and add a 3% fee if you pay with a credit card.
Now, I realize these prices aren’t going to break the bank, but the constant little upcharges make the experience feel overpriced and frustrating. It’s the principle of the thing that makes me think twice about coming back. While the food is okay, the extra fees will definitely make me look elsewhere in the future.

Walts — a small town diner at its best. Located in the middle of downtown, on M25, is the best eating experience in Caseville. There is nothing pretentious about Walts — the menu is typical American and appropriately priced. We stopped here on a sunny, yet cool, March Sunday, hungry and ready to eat. The food was good and arrived in a timely manner. My burger had a crunchy crust — a sign of a hot griddle expertly used. Everything was expected and delicious. Will keep coming back. Edit: breakfast is great too! Homemade corned beef hash, eggs and homemade toast for just under $7. I was full for the rest of the day. Cinnamon rolls are great too.
