Wally’s is a treasure. Delicious Q and friendly staff. We decided to split the 2 meat with green beans and coleslaw. There’s plenty for 2. Our meats were brisket and rib tips. Both meats were tender and seasoned well. The brisket was dry and not juicy. The tips were delicious. Our green beans and coleslaw were very complimentary to our Q. Service was great, never hurried. Our favorite sauce was the honey…. Couldn’t read the rest of the bottle. Don’t like Carolina Gold and the classic had to much of a twang.

Kelsey was the best server. Our first visit and she explained the extensive menu and made sure we had everything we needed for a great meal. We got the sample platter for 2 and there are leftovers. Don’t leave without dessert❤️ we will be back!

We’d heard about how good the food here was here so thought we would try it and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was great, from the food to service to price. Roll of paper towels on the table is a great touch. I ordered the two rib meal and it was so good. The coleslaw is creamy and the fries, soft and crispy. Hubby had the wings and wa just as happy. We will be back! 11 bucks for a yummy lunch was perfect!

We went to Wally’s for dinner for the first time last night. We were accompanied by long-time patrons. We ordered the sampler meal for two. It was delicious and exceeded our expectations. All the meats were tender, moist, and flavorful. No sauce was needed! Our two sides were tasty and the cornbread was unique. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. I also want to point out that beer & wine are available here. I could not find this information on the website or by reading reviews. We had a very enjoyable meal and will come back. Lastly, we have a 3 lb box of leftovers! Our portion was generous!

My boyfriend and I went to Wally’s bbq for the first time the other night, and the food was amazing. Started off with the corn nuggets for an appetizer, for the main I had the Mac and cheese app with the brisket; and my Fiance had the pick 3 combo; he chose brisket, baby back ribs, and the chicken wings. The brisket was delicious and tender, the baby back ribs were fall- off -the bone; and the chicken wings were fried perfectly. Plus, -the Mac n cheese is prob my favorite ever from any restaurant,;Leslie told us it had 4 cheeses. To top it off, we got the pineapple upside down cake for dessert-loved it!
I want to thank Leslie for being prob the best server Ive had in years. What made Leslie so awesome was her attitude and amazing personality. My Fiance and I arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 pm. They close at 9. We ordered all this food to go , except ate the corn nuggets while we waited. Here’s the thing tho; Leslie never made us feel “unwanted” or even reminded us once that they were closing soon. I loved that .it was our first time there, and it was late; and when every other worker would prob tell us that they’re no longer serving dinner, Leslie welcomed us in with a smile and she was more than gracious when it came to making sure we had everything for our order, plus; she had me laughing quite a few times: so thank you, Leslie. The food was fantastic, but your service and amazing attitude is what truly made everything worth it, and you are the reason we will make this one of our favorites.

The food portions are very good and the bbq is great! I tried the pulled pork and brisket and was impressed at how well it was done. Definitely a long smoke and you can tell that by how tender the meat was. I love that they don’t and sauces to the meats but, offers an assortment on the table. Great food, fair price… what more do you need?

Years ago, there was a BBQ place in Sarasota called The Oaks. It had been there forever and was a FAVORITE place to go when we came down. When my husband and I moved here years ago, I bragged on the bbq… they closed right before we got here and I have been looking for a place ever since.
Fast forward to a move to Port Charlotte. We passed Walllys a few times and I said we needed to try it.
Oh my god. What were we waiting for? The menu has anything you could want and the portions are enough to make a grown man cry. It’s not fancy, for sure, but our server was terrific. Attentive, but not over bearing. Rolls of paper towels on the table, a bone/scrap bucket, five kinds of bbq sauce.
And Mac and cheese. Green beans. The cornbread is nothing like you’d expect and delicious. (I hate cornbread, FYI) I wish I could have tried every single side. Everything was flavorful and juicy. No dry, dull food here.
Don’t judge by the outside area. It’s beyond worth it and this was a gem of a find!!!

Our brisket and chicken were cooked to perfection but lacked any smoked flavor – not anything like our previous visits. The manager and waitress were very responsive. Something changed at the smoker. Thank God for BBQ sauce.

As repeat customers, the turkey seemed drier and processed from previous experiences. Style of fried pickles has also been better. Fries, coleslaw and chicken tenders were their usual very good. Service and atmosphere were as usual excellent.
