I have had pepper steak before and it’s always great, but my plate tonight was TOP NOTCH!! The steak was perfect alll around. The steak pieces were portioned greatly eith the vegetables- which had the perfect tenderness, cut to great sizes, and the sauce was so yummy! In the words of my son, The steak was STEAKING! The vegetables were VEGGIE-ING! And the sauce was SAUCING! This pepper steak plate was a great way to make a rough and tiring day, just what I need to fix the bumps from today. The chef really did ‘put his soul’ into this pepper steak plate.

This place used to be really good when we first moved to Red oak about 10 years ago but it has steadily declined. Picked up some general chicken and they don’t even cook it in the sauce. It’s basically fried chicken pieces with the sauce on the side and the sauce has no flavor. No vegetables or anything. The egg rolls taste like they’ve been in the freezer forever. Just overall very disappointing especially given that I drove from cedar Hill

Tried them for the first time the other day and the were surprisingly delicious! I’m from St. Louis where the Chinese food is hard to beat but this place had maybe the best general chicken I have ever had! The perfect amount of sweet and spicy! I also had the house rice and it was great! I didn’t even need to add and soy sauce or anything. I am only giving them a 4 star cause the portions are a lot smaller than other places for the same price. At least give a bit more rice in the orders. But still great and will definitely go back. Can’t wait to try more things.

As of October 2024 $11.91 after tax for small fried rice. You won’t get full here. However, the rice is good but NOT worth $12 for small plate.

Be careful when going here. Majority of the food is small portions

Let’s start with the service, it’s good. The people are nice and always busy. The food isn’t bad, I had the sweet an sour chicken large and OMG it was big! Enough for 3 eats, the side of fried rice wasn’t bad, but it was rice that may have been lightly fried in some soy sauce. The egg roll o ordered was about what you’d expect from a fast food Chinese spot all in all it’s not bad especially for the price and speed in which you get your food. I will return for sure, it’s just not bad.

I’ve always wondered how good the food was and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve had 2 different meals in less than 2 weeks and my favorite so far are the noodles. The egg drop soup was and egg rolls are hot and crispy. Highly recommended.

I’ve never gone to a Chinese takeout restaurant where I saw the bottom of the to go box before. Call me a fat ass if you want but for them to up charge me for a large and still not pack in the food. Yeah never again

I was extremely disappointed with this place. I ordered dinner for my family … 2 sesame chickens, 2 orange chickens, 2 egg rolls, and an egg drop soup.

First, the egg drop soup was completely missing from the bag.

Second, the egg rolls tasted old, like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp all day. They were stale and had no freshness at all.

I personally ordered the orange chicken, and it was terrible. The chicken was buried under thick, soggy breading from being drowned in sauce. There was no orange flavor, no zest, no red peppers — nothing that actually tasted like orange chicken. The chicken itself even had a strange smell.

A few hours after eating, our stomachs started hurting. I read the mixed reviews and still decided to give this place a chance, but absolutely not. Never again. I will not be going back. If you decide to try, be cautious. ⚠️

Food is not authentic Chinese and is poorly put together, everything is cut so big they don’t care enough to cut the carrots onions or anything. There’s good Chinese in waxahachie across from heb.
