Stopped for lunch. Waitress was polite, helpful, attentive and friendly. Good variety on the menu. Food was delivered fresh and hot. Everything we ordered was delicious. Servings were larger than expected, easily shareable. Restaurant was clean….It was nice to go somewhere where no one had an issue. Will definitely go again.

I make this stop at least once every trip to Danville. The food is southern home style and I have never had a bad meal. They have specials each week day that keeps the regulars coming back. For me it’s the fried okra. (Double side, please!) They have options that are less traditionally southern if collards and baloney burgers aren’t your thing (although they are excellent here). The buffalo chicken wrap (grilled or fried) is tender and juicy and the sauce is perfect. Pair it with their ranch dressing and it’s mouth watering.
The atmosphere is somewhere between diner and your typical corporate casual full service. Open, clean, with a bar in an open annex that offers bands/music on some nights. And the service is always terrific — generous and efficient and friendly.
Next time I’m going for the catfish special on a friday 🙂

This place is bar none, amazing.
The food is good. It’s good at what it’s good for, the Diner serves up hot and fast, like a diner is supposed to. But, there is a very special aspect to this place that you will not find in many others. I stopped in to meet some friends, with me was my one year old son. My friends were late and my kid wanted food, so I fed him. The entire time, the servers took turns entertaining my son. When I had to change him, they took turns watching the latrine door, even the other patrons stepped in.
After my friends showed up, we ordered. My son was restless in the chair and the server offered to watch him wander around the place. She took good service to another level. The people there, staff and regulars, are exceptional. They are a stand alone establishment when it comes to how they treat their customers. Everyone is treated like they are the only ones there, such a nice home town restaurant.

It has a pretty solid regular crowd, so some of the food is decent–it just hasn’t been anything I’ve ordered. My spinach, cheese & tomato omelet was rather runny & came with canned spinach, truly a first for me. They did offer to replace it when they saw I was struggling. The club sandwich I had another time was edible, not particularly good or bad. However, my partner says the biscuits are fresh & that their sausage gravy is “pretty good”. He’s a bit of a sausage gravy & biscuits connoisseur so it’s a decent recommendation. He one time ate half a bag of dog treats before telling me that the new cookies I got were “pretty good” as well though, so take it as you will. Service is above average, very pleasant & personable. Seems like they connect with their regulars in a way I appreciate.

This diner speaks for itself in terms of service, there was a very large crowd when we went. The waitress was lovely, personable, and attentive. Even though they were a little behind, we never felt put off as she was coming by regularly with updates and refills. The food was good, much like many diner foods you find. I had the omelet, which was a tad bit thin and I had wished for more because it tore so easily I couldn’t really get a good bite, but I couldn’t really complain with how busy they were. Its really a no-frills type of place, but the food is good and hot and the service was great–I would recommend it.

Lacey and Ammity were very attentive. Kept our glasses full they both have excellent customer service skills. The food was delicious. Food came out fast and hot. I had the home made chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband had a huge burger and sweet potato fries. Delicious!!!!! We were welcomed by Amy with a very nice greeting. We certainly will be back.

We came in to eat after ordering we waited a hour nothing mind you this is breakfast. I asked for it to go cause a hour waiting for food Is ridiculous. First time here and last time. The part that gets me is what happens when church gets out is the wait times 2 or more hours. Pass on the bright side 2 tables got their food beside us and we sat down way before them.

OMG!!! MUST EAT HERE! I visited with family last week! Absolutely LOVE this place!! Wish I had known about Walkers earlier but now I do and I WILL be back!! Best food!! Fresh, flavorful, friendly staff!! Can’t ask for anything better… Oh, did I mention they also have a bar??!!! Aahhhh!!!
