Fine dining in Bangor Wisconsin! Wales restaurant has been open a month and it is phenomenal! Beautifully decorated with a great menu of affordable meals. Mom and I had baked cod and asparagus. I had mashed potatoes, warm bread and coleslaw. For dessert I had chocolate cake. The food was hot…we could even see the steam. Everything was delicious and just right. Even though the restaurant was full the acoustics were perfect and we could hear each other talk. Highly recommend Wales Restaurant!

If I could rate this beautiful little pub a 10 star, it wouldn’t be high enough. These amazing owners let us use their pub as a place for a baby shower and they made sure everything was absolutely perfect. From the setup of the tables and chairs with table clothes, carafes of water, mimosa bar and sandwiches with pasta and chips – it was a beautiful mix of elegant snd quaint. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and were attentive to every need we had. Visit the little shop for home made cookies, breads, soups and much much more. Highly recommend.

The absolute nicest staff ever! Great service and excellent food. Pricing was a bit upscale, but beef prices are high right now. This is absolutely worth stopping in and experiencing.

Unfortunately we were disappointed. Food was not bad. More like diner food. Small portions and expensive which we are ok with us if the food and service are great. They were not. Teenaged server only gave one word answers and seemed irritated that we were there. We were looking forward to trying them out. We were seeking something special and comforting on a Thursday evening after a particularly difficult day.
We spent $63 for 2 small glasses of wine, one prime rib sandwich, one shepherds pie and one apple dumpling with cinnamon ice cream. Dumpling was very good. Maybe it was a fluke and a bad night for them. We thought it felt like a diner experience with diner style food. We expected a fancy cocktail bar/restaurant. They serve wine and beers.
It is a small but beautiful space. Hopefully they succeed. We love to see local businesses. Unfortunately I doubt I’ll get my husband to make the trip from La Crosse to try them again.

The food was above and beyond! I highly, highly recommend the Shepard’s Pie! The service was phenomenal, the people were welcoming & educated about what they were serving. Only gave a 4 because their location is small (they need to be able to feed more people!! ) but it is beautifully decorated & comfortable. Great place to have in the area!

Absolute gem. Do yourself a favor and stop in. What an amazing addition to Bangor. We can’t wait to stop back in for dinner. (Only took a picture of the dessert as we ate the meals with haste!)

Appreciate Wendy and Kelly for investing in our community and appreciate the staff for always making everyone feel special. Looking forward to many more evenings at such a warm and welcoming place.

Had the Highland Mac and Cheese. It was the best I’ve ever had. Better than the Waterfront. Husband had the NY Prime Rib. It had a wonderful flavor and it melted in your mouth. Glad we went. Will go back. Cost was around 70 with tip. Large selection of wines and tap beers.

Fantastic experience, my family had a great time. Great French Onion Soup, Shepherds Pie. My son said to the waitress, “If you had high standards I’d still come back” which was his way of saying, “if you required people to dress up I’d still come back.”
