Japanese cuisine arrived in Lisbon in the 1980s, but really began to boom in the 2000s. In recent years, the number of restaurants has grown throughout the city, partly thanks to sushi buffets, which have made the cuisine more accessible to Lisbonites. But don’t be fooled into thinking Japanese food is only about sushi and we serve best Sushi in Alfama.

Came into the place with high expectations due to the rating and reviews I found here on Google but was met with disappointment by the end of my meal. The service was amazing, super friendly and welcoming however, I wasn’t made aware that my wakame rolls that were supposed to come with shrimp would not come with any as they were sold out.. so I ended up just eating cucumber and cream cheese rolls. The sashimi was room temperature, not great quality at all…
Don’t come here if you’re actually looking for good sushi..you won’t find it.

The sushi was delicious. We ordered a wide variety and were always satisfied. The hot rolls, in particular, were very tasty, even if not authentically Japanese.
The sushi chef arranged the platter beautifully. However, the real highlight was the service — incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about the job.

That was really, really, really good!!! Cozy little restaurant, nice and quiet. Tasty food. Fresh ingredients. I’m looking forward to being back to this Wakame. The food was absolutely delicious, some of the best Asian restaurants I’ve tried in Lisbon. Special mention to the Mango Ice Cream Mochi, absolute banger.

Very very very kind but the food was not as great as I expected. Salmon tartar was the best menu, I would say. If you don’t know where to begin with, salmon tartar will be the best option for you. Reservation is highly recommended as the restaurant is tiny. Overall satisfied xx

Today i experience best sushi combo in Lisbon alfama and chef this guy is amazing, very friendly, when I in the restaurant to take my lunch then I see chef cut in front of me a big salmon it’s very nice to see. He give me sushi was very very fresh and rich was very tasty and perfectly I finished with 1 sweet moche . A highly recommended place for lovers of authentic sushi.
