Lunch time escape.
Caught in another rainstorm at lunch time , we jumped into this restaurant. What a nice surprise.
The greeting was welcoming, the Margaritas we’re not too sweet, the food plenty and our server was attentive. I’d call that a win.
We ordered off the lunch section of the menu and both of our selections included a “bonus” large salad to start.
I had the Wahaka Tuna Bowl (GF) which was a perfect lunch size.
“She” had the Milenesa Chicken which was a ‘hearty’ size. Flavor definitely got her approval.
Both were $15 ea.
The decor was ‘funky,’ the background music was low enough to hold detailed conversation.

I made dinner reservations for 2300 and arrived a few minutes early only to learn the kitchen closes at 2230. I don’t understand the science behind accepting reservations to a restaurant after you stop preparing food.
Despite this, I stayed for a couple drinks and they were pretty delicious. Service from Elvis was great. I’ll come back by to try the food again soon.

Exceptional experience at Wahaka. A quiet Wednesday night gave us the pleasure of being very well looked after. Mexican beer and a good Mojito started the evening accompanied by very fresh guacamole dip and warmed corn chips. Fish tacos were exceptional. Beefy Juicy rolls are a delightful Mexican Flavian’s Japanese fusion fish. Hot Chocolate souffle is a perfect sweet way to finish. Great value for such carefully constructed fare.

We came here at around 4:00pm and it was very quiet. We ordered the Sol de Mexico which gets you 20 tortillas and 3 different meets and toppings and it was top notch for the price of $30. The experience of making our tacos was very fun, not to mention how tasty it was. For dessert we ordered the churros, and they were cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside.
