Dine in self service. Possibly the best sirloin burger I ever had, not being a huge burger craver to begin with. My photo is unimpressive, but I assure you the taste was not. The side of Cole Slaw is ample and comes on the creamy side, if that’s your thing. Greek salad comes with lots of peppers and no lettuce, if that’s your thing. Lots of other interesting gourmet foodie options here as well as well as fresh bananas. Enjoy.

I came in this morning at 11:30 and tried to place a BBQ order. I had confirmed the night before that they would be open at that time, but when I came in, the cashier told me that the BBQ worker hadn’t arrived yet. She was very nice and apologetic, and offered to help me with a different kind of sandwich, but I was really looking for BBQ. It was frustrating considering I had called the night before and planned around them being open.

Wagshal’s is an amazing deli, restaurant and store. It is a luxury to have a fine place like this to shop at. If you’re close by stop in. Everything form a cheeseburger to a bottle of prosecco and hand made desserts will be in your bag to go. My daughter goes to American and if your child does to get them a gift card. They will appreciate it for sure.

Charged more than their listed menu prices! I ordered a turkey sandwich that was listed as $16.50 on their large menu boards, and then was charged $18 for the sandwich at check out (prior to any taxes/additional costs). When I asked the manager about it, he explained that the menu boards were “out of date” and that they’ve been “trying to get it changed.” The sandwich was tasty and filling, but it was a frustrating experience to find out that the listed costs were incorrect after my meal had already been prepared, especially when I felt that I was already splurging on a deli sandwich. This seems like it also violates DC’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act.

I was disappointed with my experience here. I found a piece of wrapper on the cheese of the 2nd half my sandwich and mistakenly ate some. When I brought it up, the cashier was reluctant to issue a refund even after showing him the chewed-up paper. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, apologized, refunded me, and offered to remake the sandwich. I appreciate the manager’s response, but the situation shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Wagshal’s is a cozy spot with fresh, delicious deli fare and breakfast options. The bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are always tasty and made with care. It’s casual, friendly, and a great place to grab a quick meal or snack.

The customer service was excellent. The ambience was also great. I was totally disappointed with the $15 cheese burger, It was nothing short of a frozen beef patty the same as what you would get at McDonald’s except larger. The fries looked as if they exploded and imploded poor quality. My Overall experience with Wagshal ‘s was not a fulfilling one. $22 for.

I ordered two sandwiches, a sausage egg and cheese bagel and a cream cheese bagel. They gave me a single sausage egg and cream cheese bagel and charged me the price of the two bagels. Who would order that. It was disgusting.

I do enjoy Wagshals. They gave my son the wrong order. The chicken soup was really good but a bit salty, usually my favorite. Tuna sandwich was good. I definitely will try again. Hopefully they get it right.

I wanted to like this place but $20 for turkey sandwich is kind of crazy and it unfortunately wasn’t very good. And then I also saw a mouse run across the restaurant floor which wasn’t great either
