Took a little drive (30 mins) to see if the hype was real about the fish fry! It was well worth the drive! Nothing fancy; small town bar that was either gonna be a lesson learned or gold mine! Well, it was a gold mine! The fish was incredible! Four nice-sized pieces, deep fried in a perfect batter. Batter was light and crisp while the fish was fresh and flaky! Strongly recommend giving this little off the grid place a try!

Good burgers… friendly staff (there was only 1) A little out of the way dive bar… seen a few ordering their pizza… Bloody was good! I gave 4 stars only because the poor bartender was the only staff and she was doing the cooking as well! They might want to consider another staff during the hours of 4p and 8p on Friday and Saturday! The one staff rocked it… but don’t be in a hurry if you stop in!

I stopped here on my Ice Age trail Thru-Hike because I wasn’t in a good mood and was hopeful that a burger and beer would cheer me up. It’s hard to choose my wording when describing the Wagon Wheel. I want to say it’s the best place ever but I don’t think that is enough superlatives to describe it so I’ll say it’s the “bestest” place ever. Staff was great, food was awesome, atmosphere and locals were amazing. I had run out of bug repellent while hiking today and one of the locals went out to his vehicle and gave me his. Stopping here was meant to be, and if you are reading this I hope I need say no more than you are a fool if you pass it by.

Ordered food. Took 10 minutes to get drinks. Sat around and waited over an hour for meal to arrive. Fries were cold. Kids corn dogs were burnt. Had to order water for kids twice before any was brought to table. After eating took 10 minutes to get Bill. Then another 10 minutes to get slip to sign for payment. Won’t be going back. Decent food. But NOT worth the wait.
