It was quiet when we arrived around 2 p.m. For a small town, we were very impressed with the choices that we had to pick from. Each of the 3 of us ordered something different, and all 3 meals were delicious, and served piping-hot in short order. Will come again when we’re in the area!

Stopped in for lunch after hiking on the Ice Age Trail. Wagon Wheel is conveniently located close to the trail. All our food was good, and we’d come back in the future.

Great off the beaten path place to go. Burgers are best in the area! Atmosphere is great. Locals are very friendly and welcoming! Definitely a must stop.

Food was tasty. They get the beef for their burgers from a butcher in Rice Lake. Paige gave us excellent service. The environment is classic small town bar… a hub for community.. authentic as it gets. Highly recommend.

Typical Wisconsin dive bar. And I don’t mean that as a negative.
Friday fish fry is the recommendation. Prices and portion are reasonable. I prefer adding the fried shrimp too!

My work has taken me to places I never thought I’d go. Tonight was one of those places. I asked Siri for nearby restaurants and read the list to my wife. Jodi recommended the Wagon Wheel. I’m usually a stay-in-the-box kind of guy, but this small-town spot was a new experience. When I walked in, everyone stared, and a few asked if I was from around there. I suppose the small plastic shot glasses and wood chips next to my beer was a sign that I was welcome. The old guys had me laughing out loud. Go and enjoy.

Took a little drive (30 mins) to see if the hype was real about the fish fry! It was well worth the drive! Nothing fancy; small town bar that was either gonna be a lesson learned or gold mine! Well, it was a gold mine! The fish was incredible! Four nice-sized pieces, deep fried in a perfect batter. Batter was light and crisp while the fish was fresh and flaky! Strongly recommend giving this little off the grid place a try!

Never a Friday where I don’t think about the delicious fish. Great people to chat with and overall a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Service is quick and friendly and it all feels like family there. Would recommend this place to anyone.
