Unfortunately they didn’t have a very common Tonkotsu Ramen which it was a huge bummer.
We had 3 different ramen’s
• Chicken Ramen wasn’t impressed by it. Flavor wasn’t anything special. A piece of breast chicken steamed. Very healthy though. Asked to add Bok Choy but manager needs to learn the difference of watercress and Bok Choy completely two different herbs. Absolutely disappointed.
• Grilled Duck Ramen was very much enjoyed by my uncle and a happy man especially because he got the leg.
• Tantanmen Beef Brisket was also enjoyed by my father. It was devoured very quickly. He enjoyed it had plenty of noodles.
Staff service was impeccable! The Colombian girl was super nice and very helpful with all of our needs!
2. It took a lifetime to get a glass of water and a check. Tired of asking the servers multiple times for a check.
3. Just overpriced Asian-y food. Chicken from chicken ramen is dry as a jerky.
4. Recommend if you enjoy wasting your money and time
Katsu curry was a 4/5 but as usual and safe as ever.
The pad Thai was a 3/5 overall.
Decent choice for the Presidential Center but there are better choices nearby.
But here’s a funny hack to try if you’re cheekier than me. Order the minimum but accept the multiple dishes and drinks that staff invariably attempts to give you, thinking it might be your order. You didn’t really order them but if they’re offering, right? We would’ve eaten and drank like gods had we just said, yes, we “think” that is ours. It’s not like most of us can remember the names of many of the dishes and drinks on the menu. You’re welcome.
Had the Japanese Nachos and Miso Black Cod. Both 5 stars. The brisket was tender and lean. Was definitely the star of the show. The miso noodles carried the cod meal, so eat that combo together.
Got the chocolate cake for dessert, it’s just a thin slice of grocery store cake, one small scoop of ice cream, drizzled in Hershey’s syrup. Bummer of a finish to an otherwise great meal.
The place has an open but a very communal seating arrangement. Probably a smart way to manage a modicum of comfort, but also sustaining heavy traffic. The staff all the way from the usher to the servers are very polite and run the place very smoothly. I settled for a starter plate of Chili Calamari (fried squid) and pleasantly found it to be a taste above average. The spicy cilantro dip was fresh and had that spike to meet the spicy aficionados expectations. My main course was the Spicy Salmon Teriyaki with soba noodles, broccolini, and miso that made the morsels mouth watering. The server Joshua brought a very bright attitude and added to the overall experience.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced, but a very good meal with quick service in a lively ambiance, this place will not disappoint. Maybe you will share the same sense of satisfaction, with which I write this review.
