We’ve been visiting this Waffle House pretty frequently since moving to Kountze over the last few years! I have to say, the ladies are always sweet and tentative to our needs! I’ve given the 2 star review because of the last few visits, and especially yesterday! It seems like there’s little effort in keeping it tidy…I can only imagine, how hard that must be, but after visiting the newest WH in Silsbee, I heard the wait staff politely ask the customer to wait, while she cleaned the table and the floor under….who wants to have waffles stuck to their shoes?!! Yesterday I ordered 2 waffles from the Lumberton WH …my husband ordered his usual and actually got his ahead of me. The waitress brought my waffle out and mentioned it may be a little burnt…I figured it would probably be ok. I raised it up to put the syrup on it, and the whole underside was completely burnt! There’s no excuse for that. Just disrespectful and honestly….doo you want that to represent your name? It’s a Waffle House…make sure that product comes to the table right!! I would not have had any issues, had they said, “we are training someone new, or we need to make it over again, because it’s to brown/burnt, but to bring it out, with the really burnt side flipped,was very deceiving….and I’m disappointed! It will be worth the drive to go to Silsbee! I hope some changes will be made for this business…. there’s some really hardworking, sweet people that depend on their customers!! ❤️ ❤️

We ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning so naturally it was crazy busy, but we were seated very quickly! Our waitress, Kristian, was extremely kind and positive despite the hustle and bustle of her job. We were checked on several times and she made us feel like family! Her positive attitude was contagious and I loved how sweet she was to us and our 2 year old. ❤️ thank you!

My husband and I came in to have my hubs favorite plate. Which is steak & eggs. We have been eating at many Waffle House locations over 20 yrs. As a military family we travel a lot. We have lived in Atlanta and been to the original Waffle House many times. Justin in Lumberton Texas made us the best steak we have ever had ! We have a ritual of trading first bites of the each others plate. So I tried his steak also. It was amazing! My hubs was scraping the plate. Tender juicy till the end. However you cooked it Justin please don’t change it. Thank-you for being so friendly too overall an awesome experience. Anyone who stays in Beaumont the Lumberton location is definitely worth the drive.

Stopped here for lunch yesterday. Walked in made eye contact with the lady who’s hair is black on bottom blonde on top half…. after almost 5 min no one came even after making eye contact as walking in door n sitting. So I got up went to the other end… after a few minutes all the servers cutting up and still not greeted I asked can someone help me!!! Mandi come over and got my order. Food was ok but service was ridiculous. Shouldn’t have to sit in 2 different spots in restaurant and still ask for service!
