I normally expect the usual hustle and bustle at Waffle House, but my recent visit with my family was a disaster in basic service.
We arrived before another family, yet watched as they simply walked in and sat themselves at the first available table without any direction from staff. We tried to be more considerate and waited a few minutes for a table to be cleared and wiped down.
The issues started the moment we stepped inside:
No Greeting: Not a single “hello” or “we’ll be with you in a minute.” We were completely ignored.
Lack of Communication: No one told us whether to wait or sit.
Rudeness: When we finally moved to sit at a table that appeared ready, a staff member actually screamed at us not to sit there.
There is a big difference between a busy environment and flat-out disrespect. We didn’t stick around to be yelled at a second time; we walked out and took our business to IHOP, where we were actually treated like guests.
If you’re looking for a meal that doesn’t come with a side of verbal abuse, I’d suggest skipping this location.

This location of Waffle House is the best! A side of drama served hot with great coffee, tasty food, and just the right atmosphere when you want something hot, quick, and yummy to eat! The employees are great and deal perfectly with everything that gets thrown their way! Starr is the best server ever! Always friendly every time I stop in… Can’t imagine a better Waffle House experience!

So I’ve always had good service no Issues. Not sure what happened , but service was terrible. Not busy a lot of tables were open. But 30 minute wait til she said she could take our order. Gave us water and did not even ask if we wanted coffee or any other beverage.

Stopped by the Waffle House on North Beach Street and had such a great experience! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Our server, Daniel, was awesome—really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The food came out fast, was cooked perfectly, and tasted delicious. Portions were generous, so nobody left hungry. On top of that, the prices can’t be beat and the menu has something for every budget.
It was the perfect breakfast spot for my family, and we’ll definitely be back!

This place was super busy. There were just 2 servers and they were both trying to keep up with every customers. Maybe because of that the place was little dirty. The table where was wet and sppon, fork, knife looks little uncleaned. Since this was our brunch, we were super hungry, so we just thought of eating quickly and get out of there as soon as we could. Also food amount seemed little lesser compare to other people’s google photos review. Overall an average experience.

We waited 30 minutes to get our drinks, then almost an hour for our food (didn’t all make it in the end) and some which partly got delivered by the man at the table next to us because they were dealing with the same incompetent (yet friendly) server. Luckily, Liyah cared enough to help us. She got me a refill, a waffle, real silverware instead of plastic we received at first, and checked on us. If Liyah was our server in the first place I’m sure it would have been a pleasant experience.

Didn’t receive all the food ordered and we had to yell for her to come get us a refill on our drinks. I was in a party of four. O would understand if she was busy but there was no other customers.
