Isaiah is real professional and tired to explain to the cook “Heather” what I had ordered. She snaps at him like a drill sergeant only hearing what she wants to hear.
I ordered a double quarter burger with cheese to be served open faced. That would be 2 buns on the plate, meat on each bun, and 1 piece of cheese on each patty. Then cover it with chili. It’s pretty simple. Explained more than once, even where the cook was able to hear.
Notice there is no mention of hash browns or anything else.
The drill sergeant thought she knew everything didn’t know much after all. She would be rated a negative 3 stars as Isaiah would be rated 5 stars for his professionalism and attempt to explain what had been ordered.

First I was attending to a lady who was also very professional but I want to think that she is new because I was ordering and she did not understand my order very well but I want to emphasize that very professional she went to ask for help from Miss Ashly and attended me with a lot of professionalism how to treat a client.
I am a truck driver and I travel all over the country and I love the food of waffles house but in almost all its locations especially in TROI, IL has a super horrible customer service has no education the waitresses treat you as if you were asking them regular.
They have thrown the coffee on the table or my food that has even come off the plate and with a very bad attitude, that’s why I want to congratulate your team from this town of waffles house for their good service and customer service, especially Miss ASHLY Thanks a lot
An apology for the spelling mistake
1. The waitress was a little weird, but I’m a little weird so that’s okay. I don’t remember her name, but she was great.
2. EVERYONE greeted me when I walked in. Not just one or two mediocre hellos but HOWDY, WELCOME TO WAFFLE HOUSE, etc. You get my drift. It’s great to be acknowledged when you walk in.
3. The cook, Edwin, I believe was his name, did a fabulous job on both the hash browns and the light bacon I ordered. I like my bacon done and floppy. Not crispy flat to break your teeth, or so undone that it’s hard to chew and you swallow and hope for the best so you don’t have to chew anymore. The bacon he cooked was perfect! Brown and done yet solid enough to stay together and get the thick bite your mouth wants to feel when you’re eating a BLT.
The hash browns were also perfect! Crunchy and golden on the outside and soft and fluffy on the middle.
3. The staff were all communicating and still doing their own thing. The flow was just good!
Go here. You won’t regret it. Props to them because they were packed when I got there. I sat at the tall bar. From order, to service, to out the door was about 30 minutes.

Not only the always great Waffle House food & service, but we were stuck without a ride to the Train (Uber bailed) and Cass found a ride for us and made it happen.
