This Waffle House needs better help. Plenty of empty tables, so we sat down and waited for service. Took a while, though it wasn’t very busy. A waitress took & delivered our drink orders. Coffee & iced tea, but no cream for the coffee. ☹️We got her to give us the cream. Then we waited another while for a different waitress to take our food orders. Nothing special: eggs, cheese grits, bacon, hash browns. The food arrived, with the bacon a little later. No cheese in the grits. ☹️☹️As she delivered the bacon, she dropped most of it on the floor. ☹️☹️☹️A new batch was promised. But no tableware. ☹️☹️☹️☹️I had to get up and walk over to get their attention to help us. The fresh bacon arrived about 10 minutes later. Nothing really wrong with the food, just getting it & the tools to eat it.

Our service and food were great. My husband and I met while working at WH over 30 years ago. We have generations of friends and family who have worked there. We were only saddened buy the changes made with the to go windows. While I understand the need for them or security guards at night… it has certainly changed the small town after party/concert/event, go to. It has a colder feel these days. Not personable at all. I am speaking of all WH these days,not just this one. I feel like even when I worked for corporate, it never felt so impersonal as it does now. It used to feel momand pop… local even though you knew it wasn’t necessarily… ugh. Any who our food was actually really good. Service was nice as well. WH has just changed.

food was great and our server was great, but not super sure why she was getting yelled at and belittled by another staff member in the kitchen. it was super awkward and disheartening because she was just trying to do her job, and the old white lady making waffles was yelling her name and being rude to her to the point she was crying at the end of our meal.

Absolutely love this location. I 100% recommend if you are passing by or staying in the area you go to this Waffle House. We come through only a couple times a year, we ALWAYS stop here and it has never disappointed. You can taste the tender love and care in the food they cook and serve. Hats off to this location. Everything was clean the counters, the floors (which is rare for a Waffle House) and the tables. Our server was a very polite and attentive lady that also made the experience amazing.
