I am a regular customer and order the same meal each visit, so I’m very familiar with how my order is typically taken, called, and prepared. Today, there was someone I wasn’t familiar with (he was new) so I politely tried to ensure my order was written correctly. Unfortunately, the employee taking my order was dismissive and insisted the order was correct, despite my attempts to clarify. To avoid conflict, I agreed and stepped aside.
The cook was very kind and professional, and definitely knew what she was doing! Her name was Shelby and I want to make sure that is recognized. However, when my order was called out, it was clear it had been taken incorrectly. I also overheard the server speaking to another employee about me in an unprofessional manner and using profanity, which was uncomfortable and disappointing as a customer.
I was also charged nearly double what I normally pay for the same order. When I received the food, multiple items were incorrect:
• Hashbrowns were made “all the way,” which includes jalapeños (I am allergic and could not eat the hashbrowns)
• I received one egg instead of two, and it was cooked fried hard rather than over medium
• Bacon was substituted for sausage
I understand that mistakes can happen, especially with a new team, but the combination of incorrect food, overcharging, and the attitude I experienced made this visit frustrating. The cook made what was called… NO fault on Shelby. And I’ve always had positive experiences here in the past, which is why I felt it was important to bring this to management’s attention.

Server: “Jackie” (name on name tag) “John” (given by other server)He was extremely rude, did not care to listen to my order, argued with me that it was right when it was indeed wrong, then proceeded to talk about me to other coworkers when trying to insure that my order was correct. And also over charged me.
In all my experiences at THIS waffle house, this has by far been the WORST!
Stefanie was fast, friendly, and efficient; I’d also like to point out how well the all female crew worked together and I appreciated all the jovial Christmas decor and pleasant ambience. We’re from Central Texas where patrons get into fist fights (and sometimes shot) at the local Waffle Houses but there weren’t any sketchy vibes here at this one. There were also TWO mirrors in the women’s bathroom, which is nice in case ladies needed to freshen up their face here.
5/5 stars. We bought a mug to commemorate the first leg of our journey and I look forward to telling the story of the nicest Waffle House we’ve been to when someone asks about it after I hang it up on our ‘Wall of Souveneir Mugs’ at home.
