I understand when a restaurant is busy, but being ignored is not the same as being busy. We were told “we’ll be right with you,” so we cleaned off our own table and sat down. Meanwhile, staff cleared spots for two other couples, took their orders, and served their food while we continued to sit with nothing. One staff member even said, “We’ll get to you when we can,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
By the time we were finally acknowledged, people who came in after us were already eating. That’s not just being short-staffed — that’s poor service. We then waited another 10 minutes until finally reminding that we had no drinks. Brought coffee, no cream, no straws for the sodas. Coffee was burnt and undrinkable. Steak was extremely chewy, tasteless, and not edible. Cooked perfectly however. Pork chops looked amazing but had a sour taste. Toast and eggs were good. Dishwasher worked herself to death as did the cooks. The servers worked hard as well, just not very good when stressed. By far the worst waffle house I’ve ever been in.

Max & Bob are a dream team and made our food so good to the point where I wanted to come back and order everything on the menu. I’ve gone to many waffle houses, but I have to say owning a business on the other side of the road. I’ve sat and watched the manager of the store create the most beautiful atmosphere I’ve ever seen.. the charisma the way she treats her employees absolutely an asset to the company. Good job Caitie. First I want to say that I eat waffle house almost every week. I have been to so many different ones and I have never had an experience like this before. Im not even one to leave bad reviews but this was just a terrible experience. First, when the waitress was bringing our waffles to us, she dropped the plate and pieces of it hit my and my kids legs. Accidents happen so I brushed it off. Then when they brought out my food my bacon was black. Eggs were cooked over medium, supposed to be over easy, and I had mushrooms in my hashbrowns in place of my jalapeños. I sent all of this back and by the time I got it my kids were already done eating. The ranch looked and tasted expired and the waffles tasted like they had way too many eggs in them. I was charged full price. I asked for my meal to be taken off and they have me a 10% discount on a $70 bill.

We prefer the waffle house on Wears Valley to the one on the parkway which is closer to our home. We have always had a good experience here. Good food, wait staff friendly, and really everyone just so nice.
We went today for a Sunday brunch and almost everything was different. We sat at the low bar. Took a lil while for someone to get our drinks. We both ordered unsweetened tea. The waitress brought our drinks and took our order. I had emptied my tea before the food got there. No one checked on us before our food was delivered. When she brought my husband’s food I asked for a refill on tea and was told they were out and had to make some. Then my food came. Both my husband and I ate out entire meal with no drinks. I asked again about the tea and they said he got a table and didn’t start it, so she started it. We were never offered anything else to drink so I asked if I could just have a diet coke and my husband asked for water. We were waited on by 2 different people Ninni and Tristan. When we finished our meal the tea was done and we were offered teas to go. Which we didn’t want cause we were done with our meal. We had to ask for our bill and wait another 5 to 10 minutes for the waitress Ninni to add our bill. My husband requested that his sweet tea be removed since he sat his whole meal with no drink then ordered water cause the tea was never made. She said she had to ask her manager. Then she just delivered the bill. My husband was looking over the bill and noticed a charge for $5.00 we asked what the charge was for and she said it was for the 2 unsweetened. My husband asked again for it to be removed, Winnie went and got Tristan (the manager) and she said since he drank the first unsweetened tea and she offered one to go that he had to pay for it. Regardless of the fact he say his whole meal waiting on it and it didn’t get made cause the guy got a table. We decided it wasn’t worth the argument. We paid the bill and left.
