Server and cook were very friendly. Great service. The food was delicious. The plate served to me actually looked like the photo on the menu. I was so impressed with the presentation I complemented him on it. Also I got this at midnight. At that hour I didn’t expect much but the service and food were great.

On 1/25/2026 around 8:45 am my fiancé and I visited this location. Soon as we walked in we were greeted by on of the waiters and then we sat down. Afterwards no one came to take our order or even acknowledge us. The two servers standing in the back were back there talking and eating. We were as patient as possible because we both understand how customer service works. But, this was unacceptable and very rude of them. We ended up leaving! Normally I don’t complain because I understand how it can get working in restaurants/ fast food. But the icing on top of the cake was that they weren’t even busy at all. We ended up going to the other location on beltline and was greeted immediately and took no time to place an order! The workers at the 6th ave need a training class on customer service!!!

I go here with my friend sometimes. It’s usually late night/early morning. The waitress and cooking staff are very friendly. The food isn’t fancy but it’s very good. We always have to order hash browns and a waffle (sometimes the waffle is our dessert). I’ve eaten at all 3 of the Waffle House in Decatur. The best one, in my opinion, is the one on 6th South by The Peddler and down the street from The Joint chiropractic office.

Nothing better than a delicious breakfast at Waffle House, but this time I got a big surprise, they had delicious strawberry flavored waffles. We fell in love with the whole bowls and the breakfast. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. we will return soon

Three tables when we sat down, had the same server again. We were hoping she would be better this time. We were wrong. There were three people working, this girl was the one serving tables. She took our entire order after seven minutes. She then proceeded to walk away to stand on the other side of the restaurant. We waited for over ten minutes then tried to get her attention for our drinks, which was quite a feat. We ended up having to get the cooks attention who was doing side work. Then our meal came, we had no silverware. We waited about two and half minutes then attempted to get her attention again, which she again was still just standing there doing nothing while the cook was cleaning and prepping. She finally gave us our silverware. We asked for the check at that point, and began eating our meal. We finished our meal and waited another six and a half minutes for our check. Still she never brought it. So we went up to the register, she took her time going to the register. She then proceeded to fill out the check while we stood and waited to check out. Please for the love of everything, this girl needs more training or to pursue a different place of employment. The roll of her eyes for everything is very unsettling when dining at your facility.

Terrible service!!! I placed an order on the website, but when I arrived they just told me “there’s no food.” I showed them my receipt, and in a very bad mood, they gave me my order. The young lady needs another job, maybe.

Wonderful staff and very clean. Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed and when she went on break the other nice lady made sure to take care of us. Food was cooked well and served quickly. I will definitely be back. It doesn’t get more American than Waffle House.
