Stopped by this location on my way home Saturday morning. Even though it was busy, the team worked together seamlessly and made sure every guest was acknowledged. The highlight of my visit was Keke. Although she wasn’t my server, she went out of her way to make sure my mom and I were well taken care of.
As someone who works in hospitality, I truly appreciate the little things—and Keke absolutely delivered. Her attentiveness and positive attitude made all the difference in our experience.

Usually Waffle House is one of my go to places for breakfast. On this Sunday morning I experienced the worst service and food from Waffle House at the 9041 New Kings Road location in Jacksonville Florida. I sat at the counter to eat in and ordered scrambled eggs (light) with grits bacon and sausage. The eggs were not cooked light but running- no they were sprinting! I asked that they be cooked a little more but the cook returned them undercooked. The grits were undercooked hard and lumpy. The bacon and sausage were perfect. The main point of this review is to alert of the poor service at this location. My server “Ms. CJ” was an extremely rude person. She was very loud and outspoken arguing with the other staff behind the counter. She did not provide me utensils to eat with. A customer at another table asked for some butter and she bit her head off because the customer had to remind her of her request for the butter. The server rudely yelled to her supervisor to be relieved from serving that table. Food not so good. Service Terrible. I do not recommend this location. Total bill for a one person breakfast = $24 – military discount = $21.60.

I ordered online and arrived to pick up my food, only to find all employees outside taking a smoke break. One employee was wearing a blanket. When they came back inside, no one washed their hands before beginning food preparation. Be very mindful placing an order after midnight obviously when it’s slow the employees huddle outside.This raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. I expect better standards when ordering food, and this experience was disappointing.

The food is good. The only issue for me and my husband were on the cook for the eggs. Our over easy orders were both still with that slimey, clear mucus membrane. The service was appropriate and our waitress was spot on.
The atmosphere is a different thing. This place must not of had an inspection in a long while. I wouldn’t believe any restaurant inspector would allow for this much neglect. Pictures are provided. It was really nasty! Some of those waffle irons may have never been cleaned. The amount of grime on those surfaces was unbelievable! The overall condition is questionable to say the least.

They gave my daughter the wrong order. When I went back to let them know they wanted to argue instead of fixing it. The receipt is not itemized so I have no idea what I actually paid for. When I asked for a refund I was told I have to come back in the morning when the manager was in. I was supposed to get the all star breakfast. Instead I was given the 2 egg breakfast. Horrible experience. I don’t usually go to this location. Never again.

First time at the new location. Ms Aaron was our server sweet, kind, fast and efficient. I watched Ms Sylvia bag orders while greeting customers and ensuring they checked their orders to make sure it was correct. Ms Lisa was running the register and just smiled away. I was addressed entering and leaving the restaurant even with their backs turnt making or plating orders customer were still addressed. Food was good and hot. Hope this location maintains it’s up keep and positive reviews

The team that serves after 2:00pm seem to never have it together. Almost every time I come here they got my order wrong, are “too busy” to attend me even though it’s practically dead. They don’t write things down and try to do it on memory and it’s wrong 9/10 times. The team before that however does a great job. But Holy crap the team after 2pm is D tier

I use to go to this place religiously. Like I wasted hundreds of dollars a week here But constantly getting beard hairs in my eggs, you get scrambled eggs that look like someone forgot them on the hot plate and they are now fried then they tried to scramble them afterwards. I got a Texas bacon cheese steak melt with 2 eggs scrambled with cheese on top today , the cheese for the sandwich was just laid out on top of the stainless steel next to the grille. then he puts it on the hot plate and leaves it, I can already see he messed my eggs up but ok, he used a scraper on all the stainless steel by the waffle maker to get all the stuck on food off it then just wipes it off and cuts my sandwich in half. I couldn’t even finish it because the sandwich tastes sour in one spot and has my tongue burning like they cleaned whatever they had the cheese sitting on and didn’t wipe it off.. it’s literally always some.kind of issue here
