I cannot say enough great things about Vickie Horton and Florine Graham at the Waffle House located at 4755 Saul White Blvd, North Charleston, SC 29418. From the moment my peers and I walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, kindness, and true Southern charm.
We had been working since 6:00 AM and finally made it back to our hotel across the street around 9:00 PM. Exhausted and starving, we checked in and immediately came back out just hoping for a good, hot meal before heading to bed for another early morning. What we received was so much more than food — it was an experience.
Ms. Vickie truly made us feel like family. She even joked that if it were up to her, she would take us home and cook us a full home-cooked meal herself! She assured us that before we left, our stomachs would be full — and she absolutely delivered.
Both Vickie and Florine were multitasking like pros, taking care of us while also assisting other customers, all with smiles on their faces. They provided great menu recommendations, were patient, and made us feel completely valued. Our group ordered a wide variety of meals — hash brown bowls with chicken and melted cheese, waffles and eggs, steak and grits, Arnold Palmers, and one of my peers ordered a T-bone steak with four scrambled eggs and hash browns with cheese and onions. He said the steak was “cooked and seasoned to perfection.” Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we needed after such a long day.
One of my peers even commented on how clean and inviting this location is, noting that they’ve been to many Waffle House locations before and this one has truly raised the bar. The ladies received the compliment with such grace and appreciation, which only added to the experience.
Thank you for having Vickie Horton and Florine Graham at this location. Their hospitality, kindness, and dedication do not go unnoticed. I will absolutely be returning, and I hope they receive the recognition they deserve!

Went there on 2/22/26 after checking into my hotel (approximately 8pm) ! There were two young men working and they were so wonderful! The waffles and tea were delicious!

This restaurant have excellent food, plated with care and love. The service was exceptional. My server was pleasant, polite, particular and professional. This was my first visit to this waffel house. Just for Janeris. I will be going to this area again soon.

This was my first time going to Waffle House and I loved it! I got the all star breakfast with a waffle, eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns. It was only $11 and you get a ton of food for cheap. The hashbrowns and eggs are good and my waffle was perfect. The service was also very good.

Do not come here if you order after 11:30 p.m. there is an old lady with glasses that works that doesn’t want to cook anything for anybody. She just wants to sit and get paid for not cooking and says that she doesn’t know anything about the menu. She has an attitude and acts like she can’t even cook two eggs when this is her job to cook the food. All she does is complain like she has no knowledge of the menu or any food and then she’s very rude and disrespectful to try to make you not order food so she doesn’t have to do any work. I am not even exaggerating this is literally the truth and I should have video recorded her but she is the worst cook ever and I highly recommend never coming here after 11:30 p.m. because you will get the worst service in your life and a person that shouldn’t even be working here because she is clearly incompetent of her job and is rude and disrespectful to everybody just trying to get eggs and a waffle. It is 3 in the morning so if the managers of this Waffle House want to look and see who worked at 3:00 a.m. today that is who I’m talking about. Old lady with glasses wearing a Scully cap on her head.

BEST WAFFLE HOUSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD, and I’ve been to so many across 5 states! Ishmael was an amazing server. Very fast, very attentive, and the food came out quick and HOT. Even when a topping was missing, without any hesitation it was fixed. Would come again, everyday of the week if it wouldn’t cause be to have a coronary.

So, I went in last night and was given great service by Melissa. She was very patient with her guests, and the cook. The cook, on the other hand was more than rude to Melissa, and the guests! At least THREE TIMES in the 40ish minutes I was there the lady cook got an attitude with her yelling over NOTHING. Melissa ask for a guest bacon to be made well (well done), and the woman yelled at her saying “what, do they think I don’t know how to cook?” When Melissa asked her to just cook it a little longer, the cook told her she could cook it herself. Melissa kept her composure and did her job. Not once did she let the cook change her positive attitude with her guests, nor did it affect her own mood. She made sure she did what she could to make sure we had a positive experience. Thank you Melissa!

THE FOOD WAS AWFUL AND THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO TO THAT WAFFLE HOUSE. All our food came out at separate times. Some of us where done eating before others got there food. The food didn’t taste good at all. “The Coach” (that was the name on the name tag) could have handle the situation better. I really hope I don’t get sick. There were to many people working at the time and there weren’t a lot of customers. The service all around was unexceptional. If I could’ve left no stars, I would have.

Store #440 is WHERE. IT’S. AT!!! The morning crew on 9/20 was such a vibe and I was loving it!!! The food was cooked perfectly, the crew was hilarious and fun, and it was definitely the best experience I have ever had at a Waffle House! Shoutout to Sarah, as it was her birthday and she was such a delight! I would be willing to make the drive from Cola any day of the week to hang out with them again! 10 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
