I give this place a 5 star, because that is a high as Google allows. Trenton was our server. He did an excellent job in both service and lifting up the Waffle House and all their employees. It was such an uplifting experience to see someone who enjoys their job and their coworkers. Definitely made me respect Waffle House alot more. Food was also very good. Keep up the GREAT JOB. I will be back.

My husband and I walked in with our two children last night. A couple of tables were empty, but still had dirty dishes. We decided to wait for a table to be cleaned off. We were there 30 minutes and the tables still hadn’t been cleaned. The employees just kept staring at us like we were wasting our time there. After realizing we were never going to get any service, we left and went somewhere else.

Waffle house saved my Christmas! Twas the night before Christmas when all through the town, not a store was left open except waffle house. The workers were cooking their eggs with care, unaware that we soon would be there. We were nestled all snug in our car, unprepared that finding an egg would be so hard. We drove and we drove and we checked every store, unfortunately our luck was poor. When far in the distance we saw that warm yellow glow, when we suddenly saw a beacon of hope. We pulled in the lot and walked inside, finally luck was on our side. The kind waitress greeted as we walked in the door, to the magical place of eggs galore. Our christmas miracle, the waffle house Morganton store.
Thank you guys so much, I just needed an egg to finish my Christmas snickerdoodles and my plan was saved because of the kind people at the Morganton waffle house. Merry Christmas!

Gotta love those scattered smothered covered peppered caped and everything else I can get in there. Coffee is always good. The girls are always nice and the cook is on the J O B !. My chicken sandwich was good. It does not matter where you order this sandwiche it always taste the same with the seasoning . The tea and coffee is always good

The Waffle House in MORGANTON, NC has gone down hill on a fast spiral.
Our waitress seemed high, another waitress sat in sink, the cook was disheveled and kept leaving (his area was extremely dirty), our waitress made our waffle(good but mangled), the place was a disaster! Floor was so disgusting, never seen it so dirty! Staff sitting in the sink could’ve been cleaning while doing nothing. Another couple had to tell the same waitress we had that their food had been sitting there waiting to be delivered. They should have offered to make a new one BUT she just said sorry and left the cold sandwich. The couple didn’t even eat it, they paid and left. Tables were left unclean, we had to sit where the staff sits and it had dirty dishes everywhere.
It was just awful. We use to love to go there. It was our first meeting spot when we first got together.

Edit: The cook last night deserves 5 stars, he was a young fellow but made perfect eggs! I am particular and like my whites of my eggs done or I can’t eat them, he was the first ever that I was able to eat all the eggs.
Now the waitresses, we’re nice BUT didn’t clean any of the tables while we were there, AND we were the only ones there. The cook kept his area clean which we appreciated.

Food was excellent, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich topped with both a sausage Patty and 2 over medium eggs all smothered in Country Gravy. Along with a side of Bacon Soft. Everything cooked perfectly. Was a 3 am meal after working, when everything else closed for a hungry guy from out of state. Cook and waitress top notch. Recommend if hungry for good food to stop. 2nd time eating here on this work trip and will again.

Went to eat here over the weekend late night around 12 am. No complaints on the food or service. Both good. Place needs a good cleaning. Floors and tables filthy. It was not the worker’s fault. They are wide open with no time to clean. Someone needs to come in during the day, shut it down for a while and scrub this place.
