Exactly what Waffle House is supposed to be. Clean location, friendly and efficient staff, and food that comes out hot and fast. Bacon, egg, and cheese on Texas toast with hash browns all the way (no gravy) hit the spot. Reliable, comforting, and clutch when you need it most.

The best part about this Waffle House is the staff. My office is nearby so I call something in when the grease content in my blood is starting to get a bit low. The staff are always very friendly on the phone when I place an order and in person when I’m at the restaurant to pick an order up. The food is always ready when they say it will be and, knock on wood, my order is always right. I primarily order the bacon hashbrown bowl and it’s always properly cooked and has generous portions. If I’m really trying to boost my blood pressure I’ll also add a large side (or two) of bacon. The only issue is the food is quite greasy, but if you go to Waffle House and expect to receive food that doesn’t have any grease in/on it then you that’s on you! I gave them a 5 out of 5 stars because I’ve never had any issues with the staff or food! Great job Waffle House 2286 – keep up the great work!!

It’s definitely a Waffle House. Everyone was awesome and even if it was busy, they had their stuff together and got it out pretty quickly. The manager was goofing off with the employees but keeping a tight ship which is appreciated and I love to see.

Was not a good place service was horrible. There was trash all over the dining room floor and the kitchen floor was covered in hash browns. The dishes that were supposedly clean still had
bits of food on them from people that had used them previously. I noticed there’s a lot of cross-contamination with dirty rags that are used to wipe down tables for cleaning.

There is just something special about the Waffle House. My girls and I were out shopping after the snow this last week and most places were closed, but the Waffle House was open and we had a great time.

Sometimes you have to be specific on which Waffle House you choose but this is the spot. Place is clean and they greet every customer that walks through the door and makes you feel welcomed. Food was freshly made in a timely manner.

Whew boy! I know it’s a Waffle House, so my expectations going into one are bare minimum. I just want hot breakfast food and coffee while I listen to the service staff interact and watch the food being prepared. I’m easy to please.
Ordered the All Star special, and it was good. I didn’t get to eat the waffle, however, because I was never given syrup (they were cleaning the store in preparation for an inspection, so they were a little too tied up to take care of me I guess). Nobody ever checked to see if I needed a refill. Then the manager starts shifting and cleaning ceiling tiles DIRECTLY ABOVE ME, so I’d had enough at that point.
Service staff complained about their jobs and the way they were treated there, apparently a girl had a funeral to attend and was told by mgmt they didn’t want to hear excuses. That made me sad for her; that isn’t fair, and nobody should be made to feel that way at their workplace. So between the cleaning right above my food and the stories of mistreatment at the hands of leadership, it’s clear nobody cares about anybody there.
The girl who served me was great, besides leaving me thirsty once I got my food. And her coworkers were pleasant, but the overall experience was not. I’ll drive a little further to IHOP next time I want breakfast in Shelby, this was not it.
