Visited 9/6/25 around 1-2am and the place was awesome. Don’t know our server’s name but she was a white lady with purple highlights. Everyone was awesome, especially her, sweet as can be and kept our coffees full. The gentleman running the kitchen brought our food out himself and was very respectful to his staff, which made us feel very happy. We heard him compliment the hard working linecooks on how good our two All Star plates looked. This is how I remember wafflehouse from childhood. Great job to the staff here 🙂

I had terrified experience today @ this Waffle House today. This Waffle House deserves no stars just to be clear.First I attempted to order online it took my payment but, then rejected my order. I couldn’t call so, I walked in. I explained my dilemma online they said, it does that sometimes. I was cool ok.So finally I placed my order in person.Then I noticed the cook holding a serving platter dumping food into a pot with his hand. I was beyond disgusted, I decided to address it right away. His response was the customer didn’t not want the grits.So now I’m finding out this was from a previous customer plate. So I then asked why would you use hand? His response was he has on gloves. Besides the fact of him using his hand to dump the grits back into the pot. I asked why didn’t you just throw the grits away. Then he proceeded to tell me he has his serving license. So no I do not recommend eating here.

When I stop in Cary, NC this location is Conveniently located right around the corner from my hotel. Today I stopped in and had the pleasure of being served by Kimberly, who is not only friendly, accommodating, thoughtful and welcoming, and I saw the other staff just as friendly and helping people this really made my day and the meal was delicious.

“I had a great experience at the Waffle House on Walnut Street! The service was incredibly fast and friendly, even during a busy morning rush. The food came out exactly as ordered—the hashbrowns were perfectly ‘scattered, smothered, and covered,’ and the waffle was light and crispy. Went in late night for a quick bite to eat with friends. Wasn’t expecting much but our server, Fisher, exceeded our expectations! Great service with an even better attitude! Best service we’ve had so far! Will definitely be back to see him. Made our experience 10/10!

The food was hot, fresh, and correct so I don’t have much room to criticize. My only issues were the place setting I sat in at the bar was dirty and sticky. There were streak marks on the counter like it was cleaned half hearted at best. If I am being fair, our server looked like she was about 5’1″ so it would have been very difficult for her to reach the place setting from the back. I requested a towel to clean the setting and I was given one, cleaned it, and was happy.
Waffle house needs to find a way to lower their prices at least 10%-15% I don’t hold that again this store.
Service overall was very efficient in what I would classify as steady service meaning guests were finishing, the table reset, and a new customer walked in to take the seat with no waiting.
Everyone seemed happy, there were cleaning issues that needed addressing however the restaurant was in no way trashed.

I was slightly dissapointed with this Waffle House. I am from up north, so I always go to Waffle House when I’m down south. Waffle has always been so consistent but this is the first time a location misses the mark a bit. Something was just off….my Waffle was a little undercooked, the hash browns were extra greasy. The toast was overcooked.
So, not the best location but they were slammed so that could have contributed. I’d still go back. Staff was super nice!
