El Salvadorian take on Americanized Mexican food. The food was delicious! The birria burrito had black beans and yellow rice with slightly different spices but was refreshingly good. I wish they had more El Salvador foods, particularly tamales and the curtido was blah.

Legit fantastic Mexican food. Steak tacos are my favorite. The crisp and depth of flavor that they got on their birria papusa was making me regret not buying 10 of them. Whenever we are back at the beach we WILL be putting in a giant order.

Wakamole on Harper’s Road in Virginia Beach is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Latin flavors. The place is spotless, welcoming, and has a warm, friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Prices are very affordable for the quality you get.
Today, I tried a Salvadoran classic — pupusas — and the first bite instantly transported me back home. I even asked for an unusual recipe, and to my surprise, they gladly agreed to prepare it just for me. That level of care and attention is rare and truly appreciated.
If you’re looking for a genuine Latin meal experience, Wakamole is the place to go. Delicious food, wonderful service, and a personal touch that will leave you smiling. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here before and love the idea of Mexican cuisine on pizza and love the taco Asada pizza. I pre-ordered 2 pies, one taco birria the other taco asada and disappointment is an understatement. The taco birria pizza barely had any cheese on it and was under cooked. Dough was floppy and way too soft and should’ve probably cooked for another 5 minutes. The taco asada pizza must’ve been some joke, mix up with another order or a huge misunderstanding. The taco asada was simply an undercooked cheese pizza with steak bites on it, didn’t include the onions, cilantro or green sauce like the menu said. It will probably take some time before I consider coming back again.

This looks like a family owned restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was great, fresh, and authentic. My husband had tacos (flour), I had the chicken burrito bowl, and we had the cheese and chips for a starter. Everything was cooked fresh and it was very good. A little pricey, but it was worth it to get fresh, quality ingredients. Definitely recommend.

The rib eye tacos are quite literally the best tacos I have ever had. I never order a quesadilla but saw a picture and had to try it, got the street quesadilla with steak and it was huge for the price and out of this world. The California fries and California burrito were also amazing nothing bad to say about anything, all high quality ingredients and a generous amount of avocado which never happens at other restaurants. Will be back soon definitely want to give everything a try!

Stopped by here around 2pm on a Monday afternoon. Despite the presentation, the food was good. Friendly service. More of a takeout spot rather than dining in. We ordered the Cali fries, jalapeno poppers, and the Nacho Pizza.

I loved it here! My husband had the birria empanadas and I had shrimp tacos and a queso pupusa. My tummy is so happy and full. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff there are so kind as well. 11/10 recommend

Birria empanada, basically was empty other than a little bit of cheese. Also got two carne empanada’s and there was maybe a teaspoon of beef in them combined. Very disappointing, first and last order
