I decided to try out Vuelva A La Vida, and I was absolutely delighted!
A festive casual dining venue with colorful tones and decor that transport you to a fishing village.
The staff at the register,.Angelica was quite pleasant and warm and was very attentive to my inquiries, Questions and serving of my chosen menu items.
I chose the Mojarra Frita, a fried fish (whole) delivered on a plate that was quite colorful and overwhelming at the same time.
The fish covered 80% of the plate, and I was trying to determine if I could manage this huge dish. The rest of the plate had shredded lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, a chili pepper, yellow rice, fries and lime wedges. Accompanied with the main dish was a separate plate that included taco tortillas wrapped in foil that kept them warm.
To make the entire experience authentic, I ordered a lime Jarrito.
Upon inquiring about which region of Mexico this cuisine is from, Angelica mentioned Central Mexico, with San Luis as a key town.
This fried fish was absolutely delish. I event had the nerve to incorporate the Chile pepper in my tacos…and that was truly an experience to remember!!
I also tried a hot sauce and Chipotle sauce with my second and third tacos.
I was also entertained by video feed featuring Mexican artists that only enhanced my transport to Central Mexico.
The unexpected treat was when Angelica brought to me a custom dessert she made, and apple salad.
This dessert was filled with chunks of apple, pineapple, sour cream, almonds and pineapple juice….amazing!!
A truly unexpected and delightful journey to Central Mexico – via Vuelva A La Vida in Ft. Myers!
