Our server, Monica, was amazing attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. We also had multiple staff members check in on us throughout the night, which really showed how much they care about the guest experience.
The drinks are always great tasting and well crafted. The menu and food quality consistency are opportunities. I would like to see new and seasonal items more frequently and I think the consistency of the food quality can be improved so that I can confidently order my favorite items knowing what I’ll get. The furniture and upholstery could use a refresh as well.
Lastly, as a local regular, I wish there were more predictable hours of operation, especially when there are private events/venue buyouts. Most of my visits are day-of decisions and there have been many times when I want to come by and I find the entire venue is closed for a private event. I find that I always have to check if they’re open to the public by either checking OpenTable to see if there are options to reserve that same night or by actually walking by the elevator lobby to see if there’s a “Closed for Private Events” sign in the vestibule.
Given the recent change in ownership, I hope the opportunities above improve. Overall, it’s the excellent staff and warm personalities that keep us coming.
She (Sarah?, older woman), said to ignore the Restaurant Week ($60 fix price) menu, that it was wrong and not good options. So I ordered shrimp appetizer and truffle fries, husband ordered salad and burger. She asked no questions. Later brought my shrimp and his salad. Um, shrimp & fries were my entree. Oh, I’ll put in your fry order! By the time that huge bowl of fries arrived, I only consumed 1/4. Taking them home, no.. “why not”. Don’t want to! Really? I don’t know why I’m still sitting.
While discussing the chocolate cake, place raspberries on the side. “It’s only a couple raspberries, are you allergic” no, just place them on the side… why? Are you kidding me! Icing… auto gratuity for a party of 2! Done!
Many brunch places are typically too loud where you can’t hear each other, but I appreciate that it’s spacious enough to still hear and enjoy your party.
The shrimp tostadas and chicken and waffles were some of our favorites. Also, love the elevated yet laid back atmosphere. Overall, it was a great expereince.
