Just picked up two meals and both were delicious. Only slight issue was the amount of meat in my husbands meal, but having said that I still have enough in mine to eat it again tomorrow. Well done Voujon

The food was fantastic and the service was polite, helpful and attentive. Inside is clean and well presented, with tables well set. I’m 6ft3 so something to be wary of is the low ceilings due to the premises being in an old converted cottage. There are plenty of signs warning customers to “Mind your head” etc.
As for the food, we ordered Seekh kebab for starters and then Lamb Rajasthani and Chicken Tikka Shashlik massala for mains. Everything was delicious and well recommended.
Despite lacking in a bit of kerb appeal, which may be down to shared properties, don’t let that put you off as the rewards inside are well worth it. Parking is available behind to the left hand side of the property (before the pub car park). Will definitely visit again.

Decided to do a takeaway from Voujon after a very long time but never again. We were so disappointed – the food quality is poor , there is so much red colour in all the dishes. The use of red chilli powder stands out in all the curries and thats all I could taste. There was nothing fresh tasting or fragrant about the dishes. This is not how the curries taste like. The salmon starter was dry, overcooked and full of red paste. The rice was ok. I wish these places would cook more authentic dishes.

First time visiting and I was very impressed. We were quickly shown to our table and drinks were served promptly while we looked at the menu. All 3 courses were excellent, very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great value for money. The restaurant and the toilets were clean. Will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed a really lovely meal at Voujon. It was a fairly busy Saturday evening and we arrived on the off chance we could have a table. Within 10 minutes of arriving we were seated. The service was a bit slow but the food was worth the wait. It was a lovely meal. The restaurant is clean and the building is old and interesting. The waiter was honest about the slightly slow service which we appreciated. There were two new members of staff who we thought coped very well. Would definitely go again

As part of our Great Notley Curry Club this was visit 18 to different curry houses across Essex. This was an excellent night. Service was professional and pleasant, the food was very good and the cost was superb value. This will be very close to no.1 in the table once the scores are finalised.
We would highly recommend this curry house to anyone. If you like hot the flame is for you.
