The staff there are really nice. Even with a line out of the door they are super friendly and did not seem stressed or annoyed both times. They do their best to accommodate you and get you seated as fast as they can. There is a reason this place has 6k reviews.
There aren’t very many places I would recommend within the city of Seattle due to weird/ hipster vibe most places offer but if you’re a local or visiting town I would make sure you visit Von’s you will not regret it. All around this place is awesome. From their chefs to the hosts they have it dialed in. And for it being in Seattle it’s not super pricey, it’s what you would expect to pay to dine in a Seattle restaurant. So go check it out especially since sour dough seems to be the new fad right now. Experience the hype of sour dough made correctly.
The Double Smashed American Burger was super tender and juicy.
The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich wasn’t very spicy, but the chicken was perfectly juicy and the sauce + pickle combo was outstanding.
Loved the Chicken Cutlet Grinder as well.
The Seattle Scratch Sourdough Pizza (Craft Bacon, Washington Apple & Rogue Blue) was a standout. Fig jam with bacon and blue cheese was an amazing combo.
Dessert (Smoky Campfire Rocky Road Pie) was perfect, not too sweet and served with marshmallow and vanilla crème anglaise.
Drinks were fun and solid, especially the Cotton Candy cocktail with the tableside pour and color-changing light cube.
The staff is super friendly and sweet, which made the experience even better. Definitely going back
The King salmon pasta is well-balanced between the creamy, cheesy sauce and well-cooked salmon. I probably would have preferred the addition of fresh basil leaves and roasted tomatoes to liven up the dish, but the heartiness was great regardless!
On top of that, the service is always friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and lively, making it perfect whether you’re grabbing a casual meal or hanging out with friends.
If you’re in Seattle and craving a great burger, this is a spot you won’t want to miss: we’ve never been disappointed! Highly recommended!
The pasta is some of the best I’ve ever had, with absolutely perfect texture and flavor and cook. The chicken and sauce were immaculate, and my drink was perfectly tart and sweet and garnished beautifully.
The bread that you can get with the pasta is a NEED – it is so soft and warm, the crust is crisp but the interior is fluffy and soft. Use it to sop up pasta sauce or eat it on its own.
Now… I need to talk about the carrot cake. This dessert is insane. To put it in perspective, I’m not normally a carrot cake girlie but I ordered it on a whim because it seems like one of their signatures. Let me tell you – they could charge $40 for that slice of cake and it would be a BARGAIN. It was soft and moist, flavorful and delicately spiced, with a crunchy crumble topping, sweet and salty caramel sauce, and an incredible whipped cream. The frosting was tangy and just the right consistency.
The service was incredible, I was sat at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and checked up on me consistently throughout my meal. Food arrived quickly and with a smile.
The interior was cozy, if a bit dim and loud (but that’s to be expected). The decor was really neat, especially the WALL of alcohol behind the bar.
