This continues to be my favorite Kirkland restaurant. The bread/olive oil service they bring to start you out is yummy and the food is consistently delicious. I’ve been here many times and have always had good experiences. Highly recommend the Rosemary lemon drop- so good! Sit in the bar for happy hour, it’s a great deal!

Loved everything about Café Volterra! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — you can tell they care about quality. Their pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces had that rich homemade taste. The coffee is also excellent — smooth and aromatic, just what you need to start your day right. The cozy Italian-style ambiance and friendly staff make it an easy favorite for brunch or a relaxed lunch. Definitely one of the better local gems that feels both elegant and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I went there with a friend to celebrate my birthday, and the server was so attentive and friendly. My favorite was the pork jowl pasta with mushrooms and Dungeness crab ravioli. This place would be a cute date night place. The place wasn’t crowded as I went during a week day (Wednesday) evening. It doesn’t have parking and you will have to find street parking.

Came here for my milestone birthday dinner with family. We had secured reservations for 5:15pm and we’re only there for an hour. The hostess kept looking at her watch and us, tapping it, while walking by our table twice, implying she was trying to rush us out. That gesture alone is harassing and completely unprofessional. It got so bad that my wife asked the hostess , “are we taking up too much of your time?” She replied, “Yes, I need the table by 7:15pm”. The hostess was simply rude and had no etiquette. I would have to say this restaurant is one of the most unsophisticated places we’ve ever been to. They come off as an exquisite dining experience, but their hostesses are just horrible. In contrast our server, wait staff, and the food were excellent. Too bad the experience wasn’t good enough for us to ever go back to this place. There are way better Italian places with nicer hostesses than this restaurant.

13/10 I would recommend any day of the week. Food can’t be beat, I think it was one of best Italian foods in the area. I think the tables are a bit small if you’re trying to share but that is just a minor personal preference. Service was a slow at times (it was a bit busy) but I can’t complain because our server was top notch and made up for it.

Such a delight. Scrumptious food. We had the shrimp fettuccine. Lobster ravioli was a bit well done that it made it chewy but still yummy.

Lobster bisque was the standout.

Service was quick and welcoming.

They ruined my Valentine’s date night.
Service lasted 2 hours with each course taking over 30 minutes between one another!
Food took forever to arrive, it was a problem with the whole restaurant as everyone else was also very visibly upset.
I waited so long to get my dessert, only to literally see it being served to the person next to us and then the waiter proceeded to tell me that there’s no more of it. Literally what happened, not even an exaggeration.

They even have the audacity to charge 20% tip!
Insane, absolutely ruined my night

Been here 2 times, food is okay, a little pretentious and bland honestly. It’s good fine dining but lacks any punches. Wild Boar and Short ribs both were great dishes but the seasoning was minimal. Even their cheesecake had no sugar almost.

Food is very very good. Pictures are some of the dishes: Oxtail dish 10/10 (the one with wide pasta), mushroom pork dish 7/10 (the one with thin noodles), and Wild Boar 9/10 (the one with veggies). The bread is hard. Location is welcoming and clean. Service is average, the waiter was friendly but whispering, talking very fast, difficult to understand.

High quality contemporary Italian.

The homemade pasta was perfect – as good as the real stuff from Italy (or NYC).

Hearty portions and excellent service. Great for dates. Will return!
