Went for my birthday on a Saturday night. We had great service and had so much fun playing pickle ball with the black lights. Biggest bonus is how kid friendly this place is. My toddler loves it. We made it for happy hour which is a plus. My brothers got their holiday drinks which are festive and tasty. We love their smash burger and fries.

Service was super slow. Our drinks sat on the bar top, totally ready for probably 3-4 minutes with no one around al we just grabbed them. Food was cold, smash burger totally undercooked . My gf ordered a salad and upon setting it down our server said, “you probably don’t want that. It’s wilty and rubbery” okayyyyy hahahahaha so he brought fries instead . Overall the concept is so fun and I heard the food used to be good but we won’t be back until there’s improvement

My wife and I went there for the first time yesterday to try our hands at Pickle ball. Upon entry we were greeted by a young man who was polite and got us checked in after having us both complete the waiver form and creating an account. When asked if this was necessary he explained it was for liability reasons which being this is a sport I can understand why. After my wife inquired about some pricing and .other things related to the facility, we went back to play. Once there we were greeted by another person whom seemed to be the rep for Pickleball and he got us quickly antiquated with the equipment and gave us a new ball to use. Long story short, we played on court 1 and had a good time. I also ordered a hot pretzel which was very fresh and was brought back to our court quickly. Here are some of my pros and cons thus far.

Pro’s
– Nice staff
– Courts seemed to be in good condition.
– Food (Pretzel) was good.
– Brightly lit space not only on the courts but well lit throughout the facility.
– Shuffle board was free but should have been lit up.

Cons
– Courts should be cleaned more as there were a lot of dust bunnies all through the back and sides of the court. Also wiping down of the railings should be done as well.
– In the arcade area the pricing for the Pinball machines were way to high. $2 a credit for those machines is way to expensive especially being that both of the machine are older unlike a new John Wick, Godzilla, Metallica remastered for example. The games there (Guardians of the Galaxy and Daad Pool) should be at most .75c per play. As for the air hockey, the cost at 2$ would be fine if there was no time limit to win.

Overall our experience there was good and we will consider going back again. If for anything another fresh pretzel. Cant get them that good unless you are in NY.

I did a door dash order. I can not speak to the atmosphere. I ordered buy one get one. Smashburgers with what we wanted. I did order with 2 minutes to closing. That shouldn’t have mattered. I called the shop to add to order. It seemed OK. I added the fried zucchini. She said yes ,hung up. The order came quickly, but nothing was right. No zucchini, seasoning all over the fries. Burger smashed and burnt. I feel that just because it is close to closing doesn’t mean that your dinner should be collateral damage. I was very disappointed. I unfortunately did not see actual location, so I can’t speak about the atmosphere or location.

I had some family in town and was looking for a fun place to rent out to learn how to play pickleball. We drove up from Seattle and were really surprised with how nice and new this place was! Staff are super kind and on top of it — once you get on the court they come around every 15 minutes or so to take drink and food orders as well.

Super affordable rental for the court – $10/person per hour.

If there was one of these closer to Seattle I would go every week!

I have been to Volli several times since they opened in Marysville because pickleball has quickly become one of mine and my friend’s favorite things to do!

Most recently, my friends and I went in on a Sunday evening for a double date night. We booked same day, and were able to find a 1 hour time slot at 9pm that worked for us. There were no other times available for reservations online when we booked, which was interesting since there was an additional court open in the pickleball area that wasn’t listed.

When we arrived for our reservation, no one was at the front and the kitchen staff seemed “checked out” for the night. This was evident through the loud joking and talking and general lack of awareness that there were a handful of guests at the front.

When the host came upfront, she brought a plate of fries and ketchup for herself to enjoy, and she did not seem amused that we were all standing there messing around because…what else do you do to kill time while you are waiting to be helped??

While on the court, we had to flag down a server, which was very different from when they first opened and appeared more interested in making food and beverage sales.

We ended up flagging down a server, who was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, she had to tell us that the kitchen was down to one frier, which is all they had to cook food with, and the original beverages that we wanted were unable to be made due to lack of ingredients.

Our server graciously got the kitchen staff to make the fried zucchini that I had told her that I had been craving for the past couple of weeks. That, honestly, made my night, even though she then had to tell us that last call had come and gone before we were informed about it.

Overall, this experience was not the greatest, although I have had great experiences at Volli. I am not sure what was going on that night, but my hope is that standards return to where they were when they first opened because this experience was not something I would care to return to.

Simply awful service from start to finish.
Not once did anyone greet us or seem to care we walked in.
I’ve never been treated with such attitude by bar staff before.
The bartender rolled their eyes when we asked for the menu.
Couldn’t believe how long it took to even get a drink.
Her demeanor toward every customer was downright disrespectful.
Every drink we got tasted watered down and poorly made.
Seriously, who trains staff to act this way?

Got our bill, and of course, it was overcharged.
Even pointing it out got us another round of eye rolls.
Truly one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had.

Staff vanished when we needed help paying.
Tension filled the place instead of hospitality.
It’s shocking how a place like this stays open.
Can’t imagine ever returning here.
Having staff this rude ruins any potential fun.
Every customer deserves better.
Seriously, skip this bar entirely.

I have been to Volli many times because I love their darts. But, they recently did away with the metal tipped dart boards in the back area with digital display and internet memes that playfully taunted you when you sucked, for bar style plastic dart machines in the arcade section..I visited this past Sunday to play & watch some football. But, after learning the darts were gutted from the main location I tried the bar.. I sat for almost ten minutes without seeing, or even being acknowledged by any staff. This used to be a fun place to go, but was so disappointed after a Sunday visit & learning about the downgrades to their once popular offering, I won’t be coming back. Sadly, I don’t see them staying in business through next year. Very disheartening that a place so fun went downhill so quickly.

I imagine this business is failing from lack of leadership. You pay per person to play on a specific court, but there are no employees around to notify previous groups when their time is up or to ask them to clear the seating areas so the new players have a place to set their stuff or sit while waiting to play. Imagine going bowling and getting your lane, but a group of people from before stick around in the seats to hang out and drink. There is also a lack of food/drink service in the pickleball area which is likely a huge hit to revenue. I have been here at least 6 times and it’s a similar story each time. They may be understaffed, but invest in tablets or a QR code that allows guests to order and pay for food/drinks at their table. Add signs and/or lights that notify players when their time in the pickleball area is up and to exit the area to allow space for new players.

We booked pickleball courts weeks in advance and even called twice to confirm. On the day of our reservation, they decided to close without notifying anyone. We had a big group and folks that were even coming from over 50 miles, only to arrive and find it closed. When we called them back the day after the manager didn’t care and basically said, “Sorry, the day is over, nothing we can do.” They made NO effort to contact us or reconcile. Extremely poor communication and terrible customer service.

Believe in the ongoing reviews of terrible service. We’ve been to this place two other times since we just wanted a place to play pickleball, but both times the front desk folks could give a crap about checking you in and skip the bar, they don’t know how to make drinks and their service sucks.
