So, I love this place when I get to eat in the restaurant! They are nice and usually pretty quick.

However when I order to-go, the chips and salsa is no longer considered complimentary, they charge you for it. We ordered cheese sauce, and it is consistently left partially empty. (As pictured) They will only give you one bag of chips with it. They will not give you salsa free of charge, and if you ask for it, they then charge you for it without stating that it costs extra.

I’m confused why the chips and salsa is free when I sit in the restaurant, but then it is charged when I take to go. That doesn’t make sense at all.

Would love it if the manager could fix this issue.

I hate writing this because I’ve had really good experiences here before, but this last visit was extremely disappointing. I placed a to-go order for something I’ve ordered previously, and it was completely incorrect. Not only was it made wrong, but it also looked overcooked and unusually brown.

I called to let them know about the mistake, and they told me to come back so they could replace it. When I arrived, the employee tried to tell me I needed to pay extra to fix the mistake — even though I had ordered it correctly the first time. She also acted as if we were being unreasonable for not bringing back the incorrect food. We had already thrown it away.

To make matters worse, they messed up the order again when remaking it. At that point, I was too exhausted to keep arguing and just left. The rudeness and lack of accountability were really disappointing. I’m never coming back again

I never actually post any reviews, but I had such a horrible experience at this restaurant this past weekend that I want to try to avoid anyone else wasting their time or money here. The place was empty when my husband and I arrived, yet it literally took 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table to greet us. It then took a long time for us to get our drinks, then our food, and finally the check. We always want to support local places, so we were kind and patient through this experience, as we were not in a rush. The food and drinks were not good, but we are not complainers, so we were just going to chalk it up to we win some, we lose some with what we like for food. However, the final straw was when we got our bill. It was much higher than we had expected. When we asked why, it turned out that we were charged higher prices for several items than what was shown on the menu! When we attempted to argue this, the server told us that the menus were outdated and they needed to be updated with pricing. Another reason for the high cost was the 4% surcharge for paying with a credit card. There was a sign on the door that said that you could get a cheaper price if you paid with cash, so I thought that meant there would be a discount if you paid with cash. For example, if your bill was $50, maybe you only paid $48 or something like that. No–it meant you paid much more! Our attempt to support a local restaurant ended up costing us not only more time and a mediocre meal and drinks, but also more money than we had expected. You can see several other Google reviews here, over time, that say the same thing, that you are charged more than the menu prices shown. We will never return again, and we hope to help others avoid this experience as well.

We ordered to go over the phone. I was impressed by the presentation in the box! The food is fresh. I liked that the barbacoa tacos came with lime and jalapeño. I also liked the green jalapeño sauce. If you want really good street tacos, come here. Delicious horchata; they do a really good job. Friendly service. Don’t underestimate this hole in the wall.

This place is amazing! Great food, price, and service. I had the chicken chimichanga and my husband had the 1/2 pound burrito. The queso and chips are so good! We will be back.

They are a very new restaurant. I’ll revisit this review in about a month or so when they have a bit more experience and things run more smoothly. Prices were a bit high for the quality of food which could be compared to a taco truck. The classic tomato rice had a good flavor but the beans were nothing to write home about, they were a bit heavy on the cumin. The steak tacos were quite tasty, as were the carnitas.
