Had the cactus plate. It’s was okay. The steak was severely over cooked. I was having a really hard time cutting through it with the butter knife. When you have such a thin cut of steak, it is easy to over cook. It also lacked flavored. Not I even really seasoned.
The shrimp had cold seasoning, but was way overcooked and very chewy.
The only saving grace was the michelada. One of the best I’ve ever had. But two beers and a the 13.99 dish, I was at 32 bucks. Like how much were those beers? Also the lime wedge on it was turning that yellowish brown. Not fresh.
The service was non existent. One girl rushing around to do everything. I had to wait 13 minutes get a drink and take my order. She seemed nice and sweet and was apologizing nonstop to everyone for the slowness. Like, hire more staff. Anyways. Place has potential, but it isn’t being used.

This place ended up being a “wow, we never knew this was here…wish we knew sooner” situation. We live close, but we never really knew what this place was until today. I’m very happy we stopped by.
They have the house salsa, but we found out that you can request a hotter and much more flavorful version (showed as a $1 charge on our bill) — mixing this house salsa with the hot salsa was one of the best things ever. And their tortillas are THICK, which I love.
The prices are low, too. In my pictures you can see the size of the margaritas, which were very strong, and about the price of what you pay for 1 or 2 beers (and our margarita had full bottle of beer in it!)
Everything was really well set up, too, with my only complaint being that the restaurant has a slightly wonky layout, but you are going there to sit and eat, so that shouldn’t matter.
Would recommend this place. Most places, which were massive, were less than $15, almost near $10. Again, I wish we knew about it sooner. Hope to go back soon.

Ordered take out last night and paid $24 for 2 plates. The combination plate apparently only comes with 3 items, no rice and beans. My husband went back inside for the rice and beans we assumed were missing and paid ANOTHER $5.69 for the sides, now paying $30. There were no chips and salsa included either. This was all very disappointing

We are so happy we finally tried this place! And glad to have another restaurant on the east side. Portions are extremely generous (fajitas loco are enough for 2 or 3 people EASILY. I always take at least half home.) and pricing is incredible. The chips are nice and thick, not easily broken. Great for scooping the chorizo queso. That stuff is SO GOOD! The house hot sauces are so great! Don’t forget to request them. The double beer we ordered came in an awesome frozen ceramic Corona stein, which stayed frozen the entire time we were there. Amazing! At 6pm lights went down, party lights came on and music started playing. We were just leaving. Seems like a fun time!

This place has a decent interior; that of which is comparable to a bar. The cuisine served at this restaurant are Hispanic American, and not all choices on the menu are authentic Mexican. However the food does still taste very good. A fantastic place to spend guys or girls night over 20, with an emphasis on the bar. But you can also just go to eat and have a good time too.

Absolutely terrible food and service. Burrito tastes like frozen burrito covered in tomato paste. Chicken strips are burnt and un edible. The food took for ever to even come out. I’m baffled how this place has 4 stars.

It’s hard to find decent food on the east side of Norman, but this place is the exception! The atmosphere was nice, the place was clean, the prices were great(tacos start at $2 each), and the staff was friendly! I ordered shrimp fajitas and the portion was generous for $13.25 – generally shrimp in fajitas come out a bit over-cooked because they continue cooking on the hot plate – I was impressed because the shrimp were perfectly cooked and tender when they arrived in front of me (awesome job chef – that’s not as easy as it sounds)! The pictured pina cola was under $6. All around great experience!!

My husband ordered the Fajitas. Worst fajitas I have ever had. No flavor. Shrimp was soft super fishy tasting, chicken was rough, beef seemed boiled then slapped on the grill. I ordered the chicken enchilada and tamale combo. Rice was pretty good. Enchilada was okay and tamale was mediocre. My daughter had the pizza de ria or birria quesadilla that was better than okay. Strawberry margaritas tasted like syrup with a bad after taste. $80 for all this. We barely saw our waiter. We will likely never come back again.

This is a small CANTINA BAR and GRILL with wonderfully phenomenal food, along with some of the best drinks I have ever personally had. The service is always decent, the meals warm and delicious, the aesthetics pretty pleasant and fun. I keep seeing negative reviews about having to seat yourself or towing in groups of 10+ people completely inconsiderate of the environment.
My boyfriend and I are regularly here and we have never had a bad experience. It is difficult to find good places to eat or grab a good drink on the east side of Norman. I am very thankful this place is here.

So we came here Christmas Eve. There were 6 of us. We walked in and waited. No one. SO I walked to the bar area as there is ALWAYS someone over there. Nope. We yelled, screamed, and did a search of all customer areas. We six, were the only ones there. Front door was unlocked, open sign was on. I turned the sign off as we went somewhere else. Never encountered anything like it before.
