Volcano Steak & Sushi is definitely a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out hot, fresh, and beautifully presented.
The sushi was flavorful and well-balanced, and the steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. You can tell they take pride in their food and the experience they provide.

All I can say is I LOVE this better than Benihanas. Don’t get me wrong they good but not like Volcano Steak & Sushi.
I never had Fried Rice where it was completely seasoned without needing yum yum sauce.

Today we visited the restaurant around 3:30 pm to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The place was not busy and we did not have to wait for a table, so we were expecting a calm and pleasant experience.
Unfortunately, the service felt uncomfortable from the beginning. I asked if they had a non-alcoholic piña colada and was simply told no, without being offered any alternatives. After that, our server repeatedly pressured us to order quickly, returning every few minutes to ask if we were ready, without giving us enough time to review the menu comfortably. I am currently pregnant, so I needed to make sure I was choosing cooked sushi options.
My food arrived very quickly (about 5 minutes after ordering), which made me question how fresh it was. Meanwhile, my husband’s meal did not arrive until at least 10 minutes later. It is not pleasant when one dish is brought out while the other person has to wait; we prefer to eat together.
Additionally, while I still had food on my plate, we were brought the check without being asked if we wanted to order anything else.
Overall, the experience felt rushed and lacking empathy. The food was acceptable, but not memorable enough to make up for the poor service. It was disappointing, especially since we were hoping to enjoy a special occasion in a relaxed atmosphere.

Rich & Replenished
The place is fine. The garlic edamame is really good. The service is very very mediocre. The hibachi cooks are fun, but the wait staff is very slow and hardly pleasant. I have only had 1 server here who was enjoyable. The others have been incredibly slow and nonchalant. I don’t expect anyone to do a song and dance, but please at least act as though you want to be here.

Highly upset with my meal. 40$ for take out steak hibachi for one person. I ordered the steak medium but it came extremely dry. Probably past the point of well done. Veggies came unseasoned and they skimped on the yum yum sauce which could’ve been the steaks saving grace. The only thing decent about my meal was the fried rice. Overall hefty price for below average food and service.

There was A HUGE CROWD of people at that restaurant and see why people come here. I’m definitely coming here on my birthday.

We placed a to-go order here. Food was overall good! The sushi we ordered was okay but that was probably due to it being a to-go order. The chicken hibachi was really good and I would get that again. Staff was friendly when I went to pick up the order. Traffic getting in and out is a little difficult and so it parking so just be aware.

Visited during lunch on a Tuesday when they offer half off sushi rolls. We should have suspected something when there is a large sign that said All Sushi sales final… Our table of three ordered lunch special hibachi meals, a noodle dish and three different orders of sushi rolls. The hibachi meals were mediocre, the noodle dish seemed to be spaghetti noodles drenched in a sweet Japanese sauce, decent for a school lunch line. The sushi was of lower quality and taste than premade grocery store sushi. Even with ordering the lunch specials and half price sushi, the order still exceeded $100.
The facility is aged and unimpressive.
Had it been good quality and taste, it would have been a decent value, but at $33 a person on average, and such low quality food, we will not be visiting again.
