I’ve had this bookmarked for quite sometime now and I’ve been wanting to try this place.Thankfully, on Thursday 1/22/26, I was in the area and I was a bit hungry and wanting some hot beverage. I found on Yelp that Volcano coffee was within 5 minutes of my location.
This was definitely a random visit which turned into a wonderful one. Upon my entry, I was greeted with a cheerful “Good Morning ” by one of the ladies (employee/possibly owner) and had made eye contact. I advised it was my first visit and if she didn’t mind me taking some updated photos of the business as Yelp had old pictures. She stated “You’re more than welcome, let me know when you’re ready to order”. I thanked her and I would holler.
The place was larger than I expected. The building didn’t look as big on the outside. I guess I was fooled. LOL! The ambiance was clean, comfortable with cozy lounge furniture and dining tables. There is a Fireplace, however, was not in use as it was warm inside. The Christmas tree was still up. I was advised by one of the ladies that they leave it up and change the theme throughout the year. I thought that was pretty neat. Drive thru is available.
After looking through the menu. I opted to order the sausage egg muffin breakfast $6.50. This was good. I also ordered a Masala Chai latte with coconut milk ☕️ $6.30 (inclusive of up charge $.75). This was recommended by one of the ladies and had claimed it was her favorite drink. I enjoyed this drink very much! I also had a warmed apple fritter $3.05 which was good.
The three ladies that were working on that day were so joyful, full of smiles and laughter. I could tell they had great chemistry and enjoyed working there. I believe one of them was the owner. They surely made my morning and my day. I left merrily on my way to run the rest of my errands. I shall be back!

If I’m in the area, I’m coming by here for coffee, especially before a drive up to Mt. Ranier.
Even if you can’t stay, the quality of coffee is great when you’re on the go. Even their standard black coffee is good but I normally order the Avalanche.
They also have a diverse selection of pastries. If you have time I’d go inside to enjoy one.
They have plenty of available seating inside and it’s so nice to sometimes get a couch seat near their fireplace to enjoy your drink.

Such a cute little coffee shop! We had dirty chai lattes and donut holes. Both were super tasty! Lots of fun seasonal drinks and pastries to try

First time here. The atmosphere here reminds me of Starbucks but fancier. The baristas were very polite and helpful in helping me decide the best coffee for my first time visit. They recommended the Gold Rush – White Chocolate with our sweet buttery home made caramel. I admit, you def can taste the caramel flavor and it’s the right amount of sweetness. They actually bring the drink to you while you sit and wait. That’s something new that Starbucks doesn’t even do.

The coffee is usually really good and the customer service is usually really good but went there today and bad a horrible experience coffee not so great and when I said if she could make it more sweet or add cream she said well you should have asked for that before and I had and normally not a problem. The red hair gi was rude and that comment was uncalled for. But hopefully next time we have a better experience.

I really enjoyed my time there! Looking around, I could see that a few things were in disrepair (like lights, tables, some chairs), but nothing that directly affected me or my time there. It’s warm, cozy, comfortable, and the service was quick. Real friendly baristas too.

I have come in several times in the past two years usually before or after doing some shopping the barista that helped me today 4/25/25 around 315 was rude and dry absolutely no happiness to her whatsoever when I asked a question it was attitude worst experience I ever have had coming here and it will be the last. Didn’t catch her name black hair Asian smaller build. Clearly this isn’t the line of business for her baristas are usually welcoming she was passive aggressive and the drink was nasty just to top it off .

Love this place! Friendly staff, cozy and they make their own chocolate and caramel syrups on site. Great quality and such a refreshing alternative to that other soulless Seattle coffee company

This is the best coffee place. If I could I would go there every day just a little out of my way. I just come this way every few weeks. So it’s a real treat to come here. I get an iced Americano with white chocolate and cream and it’s just delicious. I some times have to buy 2 lol. The service is great and it looks really nice inside. I just go through the drive thru. The ladies in there are friendly and always have a smile on there face. The seem to like there job. Like I said the best coffee on meridian. Thanks for your service
