4 of us went in for dinner and really enjoyed it. One of us was thinking about changing the type of noodle we wanted to get in our Pho and the owner/chief named Don was so kind to come to our table and show us and explain why the noodle that was requested wouldn’t be a good choice to be put into Pho. It was asuch a pleasure to meet him. Our server Conner was also great and super friendly. It was a very nice experience and it felt great to help support a small local business. Don told us he was only a few days short of being open for 9 months. I wish him all the best with his first Restaurant.

This was my first time here and it was great! I started with fried tofu and chicken spring rolls… Amazing! I finished off with a small chicken pho…it was huge and I definitely left with leftovers. I finished off with a Vanilla Milktea for my “dessert” really I was so full already but just couldn’t leave without having one. Our service was fantastic and everyone we encountered there were super sweet. We definitely plan on a return visit soon

VK Pho – Surf City
Hands down the best pho you’ll find in the area — and I’ve had pho all over the world! One of my all-time favorites used to be a little spot in New Jersey, and VK Pho instantly took me back there. The flavors are rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced.
The owners are amazing, super friendly, and you can feel how much love they put into every bowl. Let’s support this local gem, especially with another restaurant opening across from them — trust me, you won’t find better pho anywhere around here.

We got two orders of the combination phõ (P1) and an order of the egg rolls. The egg rolls were a little on the slim side but the phõ had amazing portions of meat! Broth was flavorful and noodles were the perfect texture. My only complaint was that they ran out of Thai basil. Service was great – will definitely come back 🙂

As a Vietnamese person who grew up around homemade Viet food, this place is the best pho in the area. Significantly better than the Sneads ferry spot. Broth is flavorful and it comes with a good amount of protein. I got all my friends hooked on this restaurant. Additionally it is hard to find good boba here, but theirs is very good, I’m usually picky about boba texture and flavor but they figured it out right.
I personally do not take the other reviews from non-Vietnamese folks seriously. This is NC so don’t expect it to be like NYC or Ho Chi Minh City . Still a very very good spot, I make the 30 min drive to eat here often.

Their food is soooo goooood! Very affordable, fresh ingredients, wonderful employees. I can’t get enough! We had their chicken sandwich, pork sandwich, tofu sandwich, spring rolls, and fries. I went back another day and had their pho. All the food was fantastic!

PHO-NOMINAL!! (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Very first customer and ex-NYer here … This pho is the best I’ve had outside of NYC. It is SO bursting with flavor that it rivals anything in NYC. I highly recommend you try ASAP, over and over, and take all your friends and family too. I am pescetarian. I usually get vegetarian broth which is frequently bland and tasteless. It is hard to find vegetarian pho even in NYC, and even harder to find one with good flavor. This is not just good pho, not just great pho, not even amazing pho – this pho is something special! We were unable to try the appetizer during the soft opening, but we look forward to trying them very soon. The
drinks were quite delicious as well. I tried the Thai Tea Honey Limeade. You may think it sounds weird. You may think those flavors don’t work well together. You are forgiven for thinking so, but badly mistaken. I decided to be adventurous and try a crazy combination, and it was delicious!! However, do stir thoroughly before enjoying.

We’ve been back multiple times and plan to keep returning. This time I tried the super delicious salty garlic fries & shrimp which had a hint of honey sesame, so they had the saltiness, sweetness, and savory combined! They don’t skimp on the shrimp either! Highly recommend! I wanted more and could have eaten double!

New off-menu access unlocked! Leveled up. Asked for a custom order of a Vietnamese sandwich but with shrimp. It is a delicious option for pescatarians and shrimp lovers. The owner/chef said he was able and willing to customize anything on the menu. Great to know!

The PHO KING is BACK!!! Best Pho on the East Coast bar none. Accept no substitutions people. Demand only the best, only VK Pho. We feared they wouldn’t return or recover after the damage to the storefront. So glad they’re back!

Went for the first time last night and it was amazing! The beef brisket & meatball Pho was delicious as we’re the spring rolls. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out on the best Pho in eastern NC, Don the owner and his staff are the best! We will be back frequently.

This is the superior Pho in town. Very solid pho options along with their other menu items. Not that extensive of a menu, but that’s a good thing that they focus on what they’re good at!
The takeout experience is second to none as well, pho Is hard to package, but they make it easy to conveniently order a meal for the whole family that tastes just as good at home as it does at the restaurant.

I have been hesitant to try this place due to mixed reviews. I decided to stop today and I am so glad I did. Tried the combination Pho and a Taro milk tea (after soliciting a recommendation from the very helpful lady checking me out). Both are very delicious! The broth is flavorful and there were plenty of toppings for my Pho. My favorite of the meats was the ribeye. Perfect tenderness after quickly cooking in the broth. The taro milk tea was delicious. The packaging was perfect for take out. I look forward to trying some additional menu items in the future!
