The owners renovated a gas station and turned it in to a restaurant. They used to be located in North Tampa, and then south Tampa when Covid hit, and they had to delay the opening and ended up relocating here in Soho. The food is authentic with a wonderful Paella, Caldo Gallego soup and mouth watering tapas. I love the Basque cheesecake which is a dense creamy cheesecake and never too sweet. The churros and flan are also on point. The bacon wrapped dates, Gambas al Ajillo and Merluza and Snapper fish are amazing. If you want fresh, authentic, Spanish (not Cuban) cuisine, this is a great place to go. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. The eating area is very small and intimate so you’ll be able to hear conversations of other diners but when the weather is nice, you can eat outside in a nice size patio area. Finish your meal off with a wonderful espresso and you will feel like a true Spaniard.

From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by the delicious smell of food — and it only got better from there. Vizcaya Soho completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner went out of his way to make us feel at home.
The service was excellent, but the food? Truly on another level. Every dish was full of rich, authentic flavor — clearly made with passion and attention to detail.
This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Tampa. Vizcaya Soho set the bar high, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with incredible flavor and genuine hospitality!

Wow. So good. We had an incredible Sunday lunch. Tortilla to start, which was the best ever, with some fresh warm bread and followed by a chicken sandwich with mushroom soup for me and a salmon entree for my wife. All served fresh and hot and perfectly made.
Can’t say enough about how good the meal was and we were genuinely surprised that there were literally no other diners for the hour we were there. Folks are missing out on a real gem.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Vizcaya – Authentic Spanish Excellence in Tampa
After a disappointing experience at a large restaurant chain, our group of 15 was lucky to find Vizcaya! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms—something you only find in places where hospitality is truly part of the culture.
The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish captured the rich, bold flavors of Spain with impressive authenticity—from the perfectly seasoned tapas to the beautifully prepared paella. It’s clear that Vizcaya stays true to its Spanish roots while showcasing the very best of local Tampa charm.
But what truly elevated our experience was the service—especially our server, Linda. She was warm, attentive, and handled our large group with ease and grace. Linda went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her knowledge of the menu and genuine care did not go unnoticed. She is a true asset to Vizcaya and played a huge role in turning our evening into a memorable celebration of food and community.
Vizcaya deserves every bit of recognition for its authenticity, quality, and heart. We are proud to support this outstanding local business and will absolutely be back.
Highly recommended!

I’m sad that we got there one hour before closing for lunch I think that was the reason why our food was just okay, paella was bland and the shrimp was probably previously frozen you can taste that. No color and portions are very small. Nothing we got was amazing, we were excited to try after reading all the good reviews. Also, there’s no options for the folks that don’t drink sangria, no mock drinks other that plain old soda. We will not be back.

Just perfect. The only place that tastes like Spain outside of Spain . I’m Spanish and I’ve always been in the search of finding a place that cooks legit Spanish dishes. Starting with the croquetas and the “pate” and of course, the paella. The grouper is also very good and my husband loves the pulpo a la gallega. We usually go for tapas because we want to have everything on the menu.
Service is exceptional. I love the ladies that always take care of us and my dog. Truly feels like home.

The food was great! They brought out some bread with butter which was warm and soft and chewy. We then ordered the chorizo al vino de Jerez (forgot to take a picture) and it was phenomenal. The sauce it comes in was addicting and creamy and rich and we had to ask for extra bread because we just couldn’t let that sauce go to waste. I had the zarzuela de mariscos and I was happy to see how generous they were with the seafood. The scallops were my favorite they were sweet and tender. My sister in law had the empanadas and although I didn’t taste them they looked perfectly golden and crispy and were full of meat. My husband had the paella campesina which had plenty of chicken and chorizo in the rice. Super super delicious. I def recommend this restaurant but you should make a reservation because we had to sit outside and it rained 🙁 that was totally my fault though I didn’t think I had to make one. The inside of the restaurant looked cozy and very cute. I can’t wait to go back and try the caracoles.
