We ate here on a Friday night while taking a break from the park. We were only in town for one day and wanted to fit in a CityWalk experience. This restaurant had the shortest wait of any casual dining spot (about 10 minutes), and since we were cold and hungry, it was an easy choice.

The atmosphere was great and the service was good, but the food was hit or miss. The bolognese had very little sauce and tasted more like plain ground beef with noodles, and the lasagna was heavy on the ricotta. The standout dish was the angel hair primavera with seasonal vegetables, light, buttery, and flavorful.

We’d be willing to give it another try to see if this was a one-off or typical of their food.

The food was great; it tasted fresh and was brought to us in a timely manner. It did not sit too heavily in my stomach afterward. We ordered the garlic cheese bread, which came with six pieces. It was well-toasted and did not have too much garlic. We also got calamari, which was fresh and not too fishy tasting. For my main dish, I ordered the Tre Carne calzone. It was fresh and well-toasted. My family also ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and the Margarita Pizza. The server was very kind and attentive, checking on us a good amount without being bothersome. Overall, it was a great experience. I’ll be adding some photos of the food; the calamari was eaten too fast to get a photo, haha.

Party of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids). We arrived about 45 minutes before universal closing. Luckily it wasn’t raining but it was cold and we were able to sit out on the patio. We were told the wait time for an inside table would be 20-30 minutes. There are heaters, but we didn’t have one. Our server was very patient and friendly. The timing of the food and drinks delivery was off a little. My husband ordered a second drink and they didn’t offer to bring it out until we were almost done with our meal. The kids’ menu has spaghetti, pizza, and chicken breast. My kids enjoyed their pizza and chicken. They greatly enjoyed the potatoes that came with the chicken. I got the salmon which was a little overcooked and my husband got fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. He said there were only 3 pieces of shrimp. So that was disappointing. They have a good Margarita.

I read few other reviews mentionning people got sick. Seems to have cross contamination issues in this restaurant.
Had chicken parmiagiana and ceasar salad.
They told me it was one of their specialty….

Had a wonderful lunch at VIVO in the Universal Studios area. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how beautiful and inviting the restaurant looked. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, perfect for a relaxing meal.

We started with the meatballs and a glass of red wine, such a comforting and flavorful start.
The baby kale Caesar salad was fresh and delicious
The Piccante Miele Prosciutto pizza had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
The star of the show was definitely the lasagna, rich, hearty, and seasoned just right.

The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the service was top-notch. It really made the whole experience feel special.

If you’re in the area, especially visiting Universal Studios, this is a great spot for lunch. Tip: Do valet parking and don’t forget to get your ticket validated at the restaurant.

Left full and happy, will definitely be back!

Enjoyed an early dinner and break from rain on New Year’s Eve. I ate the best fettuccine of my life here! My daughters, 24 annd 25, and husband agreed and helped me finish it off. One daughter ordered the Bolognese and felt it was ok. She said it was rather one dimensional. My husband ordered the Vodka Penne and enjoyed it. I thought it was too spicy, but he thought it was perfect. My other daughter ordered pizza which was handmade. She had the prosciutto and arugula and loved it. Good dressing on arugula mix and texture to pizza. We also tried the warm apple cider drinks. Tasted great on this rainy chilly day! Kelly our server was attentive and friendly. We will be back!

After a long day at Universal Studios we were STARVING so we were craving carbs. Our server was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. We devoured our food. My Old Fashioned was made correctly. It was an early dinner so we didn’t have to wait but it did fill up by the time we were done.

We visited during one of the busiest weekends of the fall—Universal Studios’ Horror Nights—and although the restaurant was packed, we were seated quickly, which was impressive given the crowd. While the service was a bit slower than usual due to the high volume of customers, it didn’t detract from our overall experience.

The food was outstanding, perfectly seasoned, and very flavorful. We started with a garlic bread board, which was delicious, and followed that with shrimp pesto spaghetti topped with salmon. The combination of flavors was excellent and left us very satisfied.

If you’re planning a visit to Universal Studios and have time for a sit-down meal, we highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal amidst the excitement of the area.

Staying near universal and wanted some decent food after just flying in. Food was good. Husband and son enjoyed their pizza. My daughter loved her shrimp Alfredo it was very peppery, shrimp were large and cooked well, and my steak was well cooked, tender, and seasoned. Not amazing but a good alternative to park foods. Didn’t enjoy the free focaccia bread I think it was, with olive oil side. Just didn’t have much flavor. Overall it was good food right outside universal. Our server Steven was fantastic. Loved the atmosphere sitting outside. Yes it’s loud but expected right outside a theme park!

My friend and I dined at Vivo Italian Kitchen in Universal CityWalk yesterday at 1:40pm, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered a carrot, celery, and onion soup, while my friend had pasta with schnitzel.

The service was painfully slow—we waited far too long for our food to arrive, which was frustrating given how hungry we were after a day at Universal Studios. Worse, both of us ended up with food poisoning shortly after the meal. The carrot, celery, and onion soup I had and the pasta with schnitzel my friend ordered clearly weren’t prepared or handled properly.

It’s a shame because the food initially looked promising, but the slow service and the severe stomach issues we experienced afterward made this a place we’ll never return to.

I’d caution others to eat here at their own risk.
