This was the first time we have ever been here so we got a few items to sample the wares!
The menu today:
Nutella Mason jar milkshake with a funnel cake, raspberry cheesecake parfait, chocolate malt shake with caramel, pulled pork tots, pulled pork nachos, cheeseburger, corn dog, onion rings, and deep fried oreos.
Everything overall was really good!
The milkshake was a bit plain ish but it had a good flavor. It’s definitely a share size. I couldn’t finish it and no one wanted to share haha you get to keep the mason jar when you are done.
The daughter loved her parfait. The cheesecake was stellar on it!
The funnel cakes were a smidge on the drier side. But still tasty. Maybe the cold weather cooled them down too fast so the sugar didn’t have time to melt into it. Good regardless haha
The pulled pork they use is really good. I love me some basic cheese nachos with a good pulled pork! The nacho cheese was good too. Sometimes you get some thats eh. These were pretty good. Reminds me of the movie theater nachos and i love those. Simple and delish!
The onion rings are amazing. I just wish they had a good homemade ranch to go with them besides hidden valley (yucky). That would just elevate the experience to another level!
The deep fried oreos were probably my favorite (next to the nachos) of the trip. Perfect ratio of batter to oreo.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with our trip here and can’t wait to visit on a nicer warmer day! Sitting under that huge magnolia tree and chatting with the fam and trying all these different dishes was a blast! Ice Cream Island, thank you for the opportunity to eat your food! and thank you, reader, for sticking with me thru this review! Definitely give them a try!
Had the Oreo Blizzard style sundae (giant and delicious)
Fried balongna sandwich, full fries, and a hot dog for $13 with a tip?! I mean, that’s a great deal. I also highly recommend the fried cookie dough (it was probably the best dessert I have tried in a long time). Every time I’m back up north, I’ll make a stop!
Fyi- wait can be long depending on the time of day
10/10
They also do a happy hour ice cream cone deal from 3-4pm for $1. We didn’t go at the time of the deal but definitely would recommend it!
Hubby got the cheeseburger wrap and onion rings, I got Philly cheese wrap with a sampler basket- a mix of fried pickles, cauliflower, broccoli cheese bites, zucchini fries, banana rings, mushrooms and a jalapeños popper!
