I definitely recommend experiencing the food and atmosphere of this establishment. Both are exquisite! The service was excellent as well. I half expected a server wearing a suit and tie with this restaurant being so beautiful, but our server was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It detracted a bit from the atmosphere, but not a big deal.

The best restaurant I’ve been to in the KC area in a long time. Everything was perfect and I literally have nothing to complain about. Highly recommend trying it out.

Once again this restaurant was over the top amazing. The food was of course fantastic as was the service. I wanted to take my visiting family from Canada somewhere special they would remember. You did not disappoint. They will be talking about this wonderful experience for quite awhile. Thank you!

Service and the food were wonderful! A little pricey but sometimes you just have to indulge. Their gift shop is filled with all kinds of cool antiques.

Vivilore is a hidden gem within the KC Metro in Independence. My daughter Kelly that flew in from Connecticut wanted to have a lovely luncheon. I remembered I had come to this beautiful nirvana of a place a few years back. Not only was our luncheon delicious but our server, sweet Mary was absolutely wonderful. Everyone needs to come and enjoy this restaurant… ✨

I didn’t dine in. The waiting list is 2 weeks. You’re able to roam the Garden very pretty. A lot for sale so gardens are decorated beautifully. The store has lots of rooms and stairs. Very pricey. But great if you’re looking for a unique gift.

Walked in with very little idea what to expect. Which is, firstly, that you should have a reservation. The decor could be overwhelming if it wasn’t so well put together. The restaurant is also an antique store, so a lot, if not all, of the decor, is for sale, along with another floor or two of antiques, which I did not visit.

The food is extraordinary and only exceeded by the excellent bar tender, Eric. This is a hidden gem in independence and far exceeds any restaurant in the metropolitan area. If you haven’t tried it I suggest you do. And make sure to see the garden. It is amazing.

Prior to this week, I last visited this restaurant several years ago. I had fond memories of the ambiance and setting, and it was exactly the same. Quaint and quirky/artistic indoors and very cool garden/patio seating outdoors. I honestly appreciate the amount of effort required to maintain this place. Food options were diverse and ample. Service was nice, although predictable and almost humorous with chronic up-selling. I had a seafood special which was nice, probably the best scallops I’ve ever had… my daughter had a huge salad that was actually quite epic. Crab cakes were nice. One thing I really appreciated was the size of the Old Fashion my MIL ordered. It was easily twice the size of those at other similar priced restaurants we’ve visited lately. Others at dinner got chicken, and something else. I liked the personal feel to the restaurant. The server (who I swear was the same one who served us years ago) had an actual investment into the place. Gave bit of interest/intimacy/personal flair that I feel is uncommon for casual upscalish dining. Most have an antiseptic/forced fake nicety, no? Anyway. They put a candle in a cream brûlée for my daughter’s birthday which I thought was cool. The quality is unexpected “for Independence” and appreciated. We will be back.
