I eat lunch here at least 3 times a week. Lately, when I walk in I have this uneasy feeling like something isn’t right about some of the staff..mainly the cooks! I think their food is good but if I feel like I can’t trust you to make my food based off of the energy you give when I walk through the door, then I’ll take my dollars elsewhere. ALL customers should receive a warm welcome, not just the ones who look like them!

Viva Zapata restaurant in Elk Grove Village had outstanding customer service and accommodation when it came to supplying some Tamales without a reservation. As a walk in requesting 40 tamales on the spot and they delivered shows their love and appreciation for their customers. Thank you to all of the chefs, cooks, and frontline employees who were able to make this happen for us! They offered me a drink of soda while I waited and their customer service was impeccable. Thank you again!!

I tried the steak torta from their food truck at the Allstate Arena Flea Market. Service is mid, atmosphere is cool, the food is pretty good. The salsa verde added a little spice and good flavor to it. It just could have used a little more steak.

You really get a bang for your buck! The food was delicious, I ordered three tacos but felt full after 2, we also had the Elote’s and it was great! they even had a dessert area. If you’re thinking of trying their food, you should! Too bad we live 5 hrs away, or I would be here every week

As authentic as they come. The place is small and not fancy at all but the tacos were on point. The server was nice and service was super quick. They also have some Mexican ice cream, drinks and desserts but I haven’t tried them.

As bogus as you are to give me old bread for my torta I will match that energy with a bogus review. I know you tried to toast it to make it taste soft but old bread is old bread. Taco was ok, needs better seasoning. Jamaica water was really good.

It was a pretty basic place. I almost felt like I was in Mexico because your eating off a Styrofoam plate with plastic cutlery. Very simple table and chairs, simple menu with a lot of things written by hand and pictures if food taped up beside the description etc.
Food was simple as well, no real effort put into the presentation. Smaller portions and cheaper ingredients used.
My bug hang up was I spent 25 bucks for Fajitas along with 2 cans of coke and a bottle of Jarritos.
But not having a bathroom was a deal breaker for me as I had walked almost 2 km to get there in plus 31 degrees Celsius heat.
Had to walk across the parking lot to use one at the McDonald’s.
Not necessarily a bad place, just limited resources and no extras.
I eat at .Mexican places a lot and I am used to getting my drink order in then getting chips and salsa etc..
Here you need to prepay for what you want.
It’s all good, just know it’s a bare bones operation.
I definitely would eat here again, now knowing it’s a smaller scale set up.

I hate to write this review when the food is good & I’m in the area. I was there and literally saw the cook walk in from outside with one blue latex glove on. After coming in from outside & grabbing two door handles on the way in, he went right to cooking. I ask the woman cashier did he change his glove from outside. She was too busy on her cell to put two & two together. I got my burrito & today I’m sick…..I DONT DO UNSANITARY

Food was average, tacos were ok,friendly service and good salsa is all you need for a quick stop. I would try other things on menu if I come back.
