This my favorite drive through Mexican restaurant ever. This is a once a week dinner. My wife loves the grilled chicken torta or the rolled chicken tacos with guacamole and cheese. My favorite is the shrimp burrito! Lengua, shrimp or fish tacos are always tasty. Cheese equate never grease. Tonight’s dinner was #15 chile rellano

Viva El Taco – Review:
Viva El Taco offers authentic Mexican street-style tacos with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The menu features a variety of taco options, from traditional meats like carne asada and al pastor to tasty vegetarian choices. The tortillas are fresh, and the salsas add a nice kick. It’s a casual spot perfect for quick, satisfying meals. Prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. Great for anyone craving genuine, flavorful Mexican tacos in a laid-back setting.

First time here and I was actually pleased with the food. I think you get just what you pay for. Really good tasting food and pretty quick service too. I will definitely return to try something new from the menu.

I got a torta from here and the lettuce was soggy. The meat in my tripitas taco was good but the tortilla broke from how cold the taco was. Everything would of been ok if the salsa was on point but the salsa was so old it was stuck in the cup. The radishes were moldy and it just gave an impression of old food and no one ate the food

Tonight I decided to try this pathetic place with my girlfriend.I ordered at register.Cashier insisted that my order was to go and I had to tell her three times it was for dine in.Upon receiving our food which for whatever reason was bagged up it now made sense as to why she was so pushy about getting us to leave since our fish tacos had a piece of hair in it which when I took it back to register cashier tries to act like she’s looking for it and can’t see it.I even asked them to remake tacos.Girlfriend walks over to register as cashier pulls piece of hair out and puts it inside her palm then proceeds to look at my gf and says there’s nothing there. They supposedly remake four more fish tacos which now has an even longer piece of hair in it.These so called cashiers and cooks are too incompetent to even complete a task as simple as making sure there is no hair in my food. This place has food from previous customers smeared on tables with empty containers under table and should obviously be shut down for uncleanliness!!!!!!!!!!And to that manager who got in her truck 92J-784, and tried to argue with us after we had already left establishment saying that it was fake hair, I hope y’all do get a visit from the health department REAL SOON because I have already filed the complaint…

3-11-25 Update

The food is pretty good, however, I won’t be keeping this restaurant on my regular visit list due to significant price increases.

18 months ago the Wet burrito was $3.99 without taxes. Now the exact same burrito, including tax is $7.00

This meal included a drink.
Good luck to the owner. Sales volumes will likely decrease

New update – July 18, 2023

I am lowering my rating from 4 stars 2 stars due to cleanliness issues in the dining room area.

I came in for the Tuesday Wet burrito special. As soon as I walked in I observed , all tables were dirty. Flies were present harassing customers. Newspaper on floor under table.

I decided to leave without ordering.
This was my third visit in 3 weeks where the dining area was dirty.

Previous update:

Homeless guy sitting in restaurant.
Tables need cleaning.

Food ok.

Wet burrito Tuesday.
Now $4.99

Food is good.

Take advantage of their Monday thru Thursday specials for better value.

The staff has been doing a nice job of keeping a clean lobby for the last three weeks.

I upgraded their rating from 3 stars to 4 stars for cleanliness.

Big Wet burrito, on Tuesdays, for $3.99 (See picture)

Old post:

Chile Relleno was pretty good.
I’ll go back again another day.

Food was good but they need to empty the trash and clean the floors and tables. Napkins on floor and trash overflowing on the last two visits.
