A pretty solid Vietnamese restaurants specializing in duck! Theres not too many I see specializing in this so it makes it pretty unique! We tried out their duck salad and that was really good too! They also have other really good options such as the beef cubes that apparently can sell out, as well as the orange rice and smoked chicken! We also really love the shrimp spring roll appetizers they have. Service was pretty standard and was pretty quiet. It’s just that sometimes due to the location of this plaza being separated from the other main bigger one, it can’t be a little bit difficult to park here.

The Duck salad is soooooo good!! It comes with a healthy portion of duck and salad and the sauce is very tasty! Highly recommend this salad if you’re ever craving some duck salad!

The place is located in a busy shopping area with limited parking and other high demand restaurants but there is parking in the larger shopping area next door! The atmosphere is a typical little Asian San Jose restaurant. Small and intimate.

We surprised our friend who loves duck but chooses something else because I am not a fan. He had noodle soup with steamed duck, my husband had porridge with steamed duck. I requested baked chicken with egg noodles. Tasty and not dry for ducks and chicken. The chicken reminded me of hu tieu with the broth on the side. Each entree was a generous serving and can share with others. The dipping sauce was great for both meats. I would have ordered the appetizers but our friend is allergic to shrimp.

The best duck salad in San Jose! So delicious! I think it’s family own.The employees are really friendly and attentive, they will give us a good advice on what to order if you come at the first time. The plate of duck salad even just a half of the duck but it’s really big deal, we can’t finish. The sauces is amazing going with the tender duck meats. Banh Beo, Banh Bot Loc are so good, Banh nam is a little bit soft compared to my taste but still delicious.

As someone who was born and raised in Saigon, I love this place!! It was amazing to be able to eat one of my favorite comfort meals from Vietnam, made so deliciously and with such love. This dish is hard to find in the US, much less made as well as it is here. The Vietnamese family running this place are so kind too—please support them! They are sharing real and authentic Vietnamese culture, hospitality, and food. I will be back for sure 🙂

The Bahn Beo is so good. The rice cake is thin but very flavorful, and the droid shrimp on top are delicious.

CASH ONLY! that’s a big inconvenience for me. The food was ok, I was expecting a bit more flavor since it’s a duck porridge, but it was kind of bland. I got the number B4, which is 1/2 duck with salad and porridge for about $20. Ice tea about $2.

Delicious banh beo! We could’ve easily ordered one order per person. We inhaled those nine little saucers of glutinous savory goodness. Duck salad was also delicious. I would probably skip the soups that you can order to accompany your salad because they were okay and I am not super into internal organs. They also charge $1 for each hot tea.

My son’s friend’s family owns this great Vietnamese restaurant. We have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants and you think that they are all similar. Vit Dong Que is unique. They are known for their duck. I ordered the combo with duck (sliced), salad, and porridge. You are suppose to use the fish sauce mix on your salad. The sauce is delicious. I added some of my tasty duck in my porridge. A thicker, sweeter dipping sauce is for the duck. I wish the porridge was thicker and that there was soy sauce on the table to use a little in my porridge, but there isn’t soy sauce on the tables. We ordered the chicken wings appetizer- now this is absolutely delicious covered with a sweet chili sauce. We also ate the banana leaf appetizer with shrimp, pork, and tapioca. This was good, but we really wanted the other banana leaf appetizer (they ran out). My hubby and son each ordered a duck and a chicken vermicelli soup which they enjoyed. The service is excellent. The only negative comment I have is that someone opened the back door and cigarette smoke came in. My family cannot stand cigarette smoke. This place is cash only. There is no ATM inside. You have to go next door to get cash.

Probably as good as it’s going to get in this area for duck which is their specialty. The duck and chicken were both very tender, fresh and flavorful along with the piping hot broth. A generous portion of noodles and protein were provided and their addictive ginger chili dipping sauce. Service was meh but the dishes more than make up for it. (~$15/bowl). Hot tea isn’t free but it was pleasant and came with a few slices of ginger.

Cash only. COVID protocols were good. Unisex restroom in the back. Plenty of parking in the lot.
