The service was awesome and the decor was typical Mexican restaurant but the food was the worst Mexican I’ve ever had. I spent 32 years between Phoenix and Santa Fe so I knew not to expect too much but ugh! The shredded beef chimi was stuffed with yellow American cheese and covered with spaghetti sauce. Just a side of rice. No pintos on the plate. The house margarita was 2.8 out of five. Not sure what my mate got but that’s no dish I’ve ever heard of.

Fantastic food. We ate at a slow time but still had to get our own menu and track down waitress for our check. But she was sweet. I had Tijuana tamales and they were perfection. Salsa was unique and fresh, not too spicy.

Vista Grande will be celebrating their 40th anniversary (I think) June 7 and 8. We first visited 35 years ago and still a great place!
Really good to see they have kept the place up and fresh. Clean tables clean bathrooms and good food.
My wife had the seafood tacos and said they were delicious. I was hungry and ordered a combo platter that had a tamale. I’m a tamale fan and honestly wasn’t impressed, but the rest of the platter was filling, although it came to the table extremely hot.
They were serving some margaritas everyone seemed to be enjoy, I think next time through, we will stop by for a pitcher.

Had a great dinner here, our server was awesome! We didn’t catch his name but he deserves a raise! Perfectly attentive without being overbearing

This is a lively decorated spot right on the main drag. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and were still able to enjoy lunch menu items as they serve those choices until 4pm. Chips and salsa were both top notch. Krista was our server and she was phenomenal! We wanted for nothing as she was on top of it!! The food was good too but her service made our dining experience exceptional.

First time back here in a long time. My favorite used to be the black bean soup. It’s no longer on the menu. I tried the flautas and they were good. The ghost pepper hot sauce was very good. Overall, it was good. Food is your average tex-mex kind of fare. Our waitress was attentive and kept drinks filled.

Absolutely loved this place at the Lake of the Ozarks! The clean bathrooms were a huge plus. The staff was very genuine, and the atmosphere was on point with great music. The portions were huge, and the prices were excellent. In my opinion, it’s the best place to go around here. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was clean, the server was nice. Our food was very bland. Whoever in the kitchen thought this lettuce was acceptable, needs to seriously rethink their line of work. I should have turned around and left when I heard yacht rock instead of Mexican music.

Enjoyed delicious Taco Salad, which is one of the good option for Vegetarian people. My friends also relished Veg Burritos and Chicken Fajita. However, the nachos could taste better.
