Beautiful place, well decorated! We came during Xmas season and this restaurant was beautifully decorated and their staff members were very nice and welcoming! We really loved it here. The food and the drinks were amazing We are from Florida so it’s not a good feeling living so far away from an amazing restaurant like feed& grain! Next time we visit DC, Feed&Grain would be one of our most do place to visit!! We loved it here!!! Highly recommended ❤️

Today we visited Virtue Feed & Grain for my husband’s birthday.
We ordered- brunch muffins, crab dip, shrimp and crab chowder, chilaquiles with pork barbacoa, and a breakfast burrito with turkey sausage.
Everything was just fantastic! I do wish they served the crab dip with their homemade tortilla chips but that’s not even a thing.
The atmosphere, the service, the food. All so good. They surprised my husband with a bowl of vanilla ice cream with hand whipped whipped cream that was so rich and creamy! Absolutely perfect. My new favorite place in Alexandria.

Was in the area for something else and decided to stop by with friends. None of us had ever been here before and it was recommended by a mutual friend. We were asked if we made reservations. We had not. The hostess said she could get us a table but we had to be “up and out by 6:45”. It was 5:17. That was more than okay, but her tone left a lot to be desired. Our server was really nice and service was quick. Across the table were wings (okay. not crispy), salmon burger, wagyu birria burger (friend said that was good), southwest cesar salad, and fried green tomatoes (too salty, and the lettuce on the bottom made it a bit soggy). Overall the food was about a 3.5 out of 5. I think I’ll go again to try something else since the other options they have do look good, but most likely only if I’m in the area again.

Enjoyed a whiskey testing here with excellence Service at the bar. I love the decor, lots of dark wood and plenty of whiskey on display. They have a green book that has their best whiskeys which can be poured as a flight of two pours. The manager came over to pour my two whiskey flight and I enjoyed both of them very much. They are 626th and 627th tastings on my whiskey list.

My wife and I went here on a Saturday morning for brunch. However, our waiter told us that they were serving brunch, lunch, and dinner. The brunch menu was very small and there were not many options for brunch. I decided to get a breakfast burrito off of the brunch menu which was really good! I added bacon as the protein and it was nice and crispy. It came with potatoes which were nicely seasoned. My wife ordered some teriyaki wings and the duck poutine. The wings were good but I felt the duck poutine tasted very fatty and was just a bit too much. Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was nice as we had a great window seat. We also ordered mimosas which were good and our waiter constantly came back to make sure we had refills. Overall the restaurant was nice but I do wish they had a bigger brunch menu.

The meals we had – Rockfish and Shortribs – were the best we’ve ever had!! AMAZING! Not little meals – no – real meals and simply perfect!!
We had the yummy drink special of the week and Clay (our server and new friend) knew more about bourbon selections -than the 6 of us will ever forget.
The service – from initially taking drink and appetizer orders through dinner and after dinner drinks- was exemplary!! There seemed to be a team of bar, food and cooking staff that worked together as a family!!
Highly recommend: drink special – you won’t go wrong -appetizer – brussel sprouts; crab dip

I was in Old Town Alexandria, at the waterfront, and decided to have an early lunch. I started with green tomatoes and they were perfection! The spikes hot apple cider really hit the spot and my strawberry and blueberry salad was outstanding! The service was impeccable! I recommend visiting this restaurant for a wonderful meal and atmosphere.

Fantastic spot that gives off local vibes. We were able to get to the bar quickly but don’t expect that to be the norm. Great food selection and the bourbon list is lengthy and well curated. Rotating cocktails keep things interesting and fresh.
