Virginia’s Review – Alphabet City – New York – The Infatuation

Virginia’s used to have one of the city’s best burgers, and we were sad to see it close in 2021. This American bistro is now back in a …

Absolutely amazing! The only cooked carrots I’ve ever enjoyed, and the burger was so flavorful and filling. It would be entirely possible to have a tasty meal just with the appetizers. So glad they’re open!

We would go back for their burger, from light brioche bun to juicy burger inside, anytime. A nice surprise hit for me were the roasted carrots. So many flavors and textures, including a nutty sprinkling on top, complemented the soft, sweet bite of the roasted carrots. Yum. With attention to detail, like the perfectly clear ice cube in their “perfect” old fashioned, deliciously prepared food served in a comfortable, right-sized dining room, and well paced service, Virginia’s has it all.

I grabbed a few drinks and a burger at this restaurant on a Friday night. I was lucky enough to grab a seat at the small bar. The burger was fantastic, with perfectly cooked meat and a number of toppings which accented the flavor. The cocktails were also quite great and the bartender was friendly. It’s a bit pricey, but worthwhile.

Amazing brunch spot in alphabet city. The outdoor set up they have is great and the food was superb. One of the best salmon avocado toasts I’ve ever had! The mimosa carafes are $30 each and are essentially the same as bottomless brunch. The service was also great as they were quick to refill our drinks and bring out our food. Will definitely return!

The place is a mess, the food was decent, not worth the price tag at all. The staff seemed judgy and they told us all burgers can only be made the same way (we asked medium our friend asked rare they said to pick one for all our burgers). For 20$ a burger YOU BETTER give us how we want our burgers cooked. We made reservations, but it felt like there was very little accommodation. We left around 7:40, we were asking for reservations around 7:30, they had 2 no shows yet they refused to sit us where we wanted to sit.

Wow. Can’t say enough about this gem of a restaurant. My wife and I commented this morning that it is rare — and has been a long time — since we could say that EVERY dish we tried (and we ordered most of the menu items with the couple we went with) were PHENOMENAL. Exquisite tastes (the burger, carrots, salmon, gem salad etc are 5 stars), the ambiance is chill and fun, the owner Reed makes his rounds and regales the crowds, and the service is prompt and friendly. Try this spot.
