However, the service was a bit off. I asked if the $5 bacon is the thick kind and I was told yes. After ordering it I realized I was scammed and this is a very normal thin cut bacon that definitely is not worth an extra $5. Waiters were also generally slow and not very responsive. Unfortunately, the bacon and the service in general got me to drop a star off the score of this place.
Would like to try more items but need to go with friends and not on my break.
Staff is pretty on point but not very talkative if you’re an extravert or enjoy chatting with bartenders when it’s slow.
Vibe of the spot is nice but when you’re one of 5 guests during the day it’s a bit meh. Music choices were great for a friday night nyc playlist. Bathroom is especially clean and fresh. They have some nice touches and great smelling soap.
They also take blackbird (IYKYK, don’t know hit me up for a free sign up and promo code!)
Whoever shucked did an “exceeds expectations” job lol – no damage and almost all the liquor remained!
Folk next to me were talking about how good the burger was, but I just stopped in for Oysters
The burger to bun ratio was perfect and the patty was flavorful and not hidden with but rather complemented by the cheese and onion marmalade and marrow aioli. Really yum. We also had the fries and chips w onion dip and then also split the risotto which we enjoyed but disagreed on whether it was too sweet corn or pesto forward. The cocktails were crafty and yummy… We will be back.
Not only is the ambiance delightful, but the food offerings are exceptional as well. The Brussels sprouts are a standout dish—crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned to tantalize the taste buds. However, the real showstopper here is undoubtedly the burger. It’s arguably the best in the city, although it would reach new heights if accompanied by a side of fries or chips. The patty itself is incredibly tender, and the layers of caramelized onions add a rich and savory sweetness that beautifully complements each bite.
While the fries are decent, they don’t quite measure up to the burger’s brilliance. I should also mention that our server was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable dining experience. Given the limited seating with around 15 tables, I strongly recommend making a reservation to guarantee your spot at this delightful restaurant.
The hamachi is great but extremely small portion. Go to drink was the cucumber drink. Good wine selection as well and heavy pour.
I got the crab cake but would recommend because it’s such a small portion. If you love roasted carrots the carrot salad does not disappoint. Burger is one of the best in the city.
