Came here Tuesday 1/13 around 9:30am. Cinnamon raisin French toast tasted good, but the pieces/portions were very small. $8.99 for 3 measly pieces seems steep. Bacon was cooked perfectly as was the French toast. However…

I don’t know what I need to ask for, but every time I order potatoes here they are raw/undercooked. They look like they were on a griddle just to brown the edges few minutes, but they are not fully cooked like they should be. Last time I was here, ordered hash browns and they were raw. Sent them back to cook them well done and they were still raw.

I decide to try the American fries, thinking they would be like a cubed French fry like I see on the skillets my husband gets, and this is what I got. I asked for them well done. Still raw. I didn’t feel like sending them back, so I ate the most done pieces and took the rest home.

Our server today, (I can’t remember her name but she was the younger server) was very pleasant.

My husband loves this place, so I’ll keep coming back, but I won’t be getting any kind of breakfast potatoes anymore until I know they’ll be cooked properly. I know others will say “make them at home”, but the point of going out to breakfast is to have other people cook it for you to the way you want it done. And properly.

Our visit to Apple Valley Pancake House was a bit of a mixed experience. The boys were excited to try the pancakes, but they turned out to be rather underwhelming. They also ordered hamburgers, which unfortunately didn’t impress them either. I went with the French toast, and while it wasn’t bad, it was just average overall—nothing that really stood out or made it memorable.

Surprisingly, the biggest hit of the entire meal ended up being the French fries. They were crisp, hot, and seasoned just right—easily the highlight of our visit. The restaurant itself was clean and serviceable, and the staff were polite enough, though the overall meal didn’t quite live up to expectations.

It’s a decent stop if you’re looking for something simple and quick, but based on our experience, there are probably better breakfast and lunch options nearby.

A whimsical, cozy, and exceptional spot to dine for breakfast or brunch. The food was delicious, and to my surprise, they make the best gluten free pancakes. The waitress was so kind and service was out of this world. I’ll definitely be back!

This little diner is well worth checking out! The inviting atmosphere, welcoming staff, and amazing food make this a great place for the entire family. The skillet included mouth-watering, homemade ingredients. Our waitress welcomed us with a smile and the soups of the day. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

We’ve been there several times in the last two months. We love the food. So far we’ve only had a variety of pancakes and bacon. All wonderful. But seeing other people’s food, it all looks great. We love the small town feel. If I were to make one small suggestion, it would be to have butter available in something larger than the small containers you have to peel open. But we recommend eating here. Service is also wonderful. We’re going again this morning with our grandson who has school off.

Food was very tasty. The sandwich pictured was beautiful and ate even better than it looked. Presentation of the onion rings was classy and delicious. Also couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a chocolate chip pancake! Clean, great service , food is presented fresh in an elegant manner, price is reasonable. Five stars . Location -Easy access off the highway. If I were to search for a negative, it would be that the building is a very old block building without a double door entrance so the temperature would drop significantly each time a customer would enter/leave . It was ten degrees outside the day I visited.

Went here at opening time. The restaurant was small but had a very quiet atmosphere. I ordered a meat lover skillet with French toast and an order of French toast with banana. Both were great and would definitely eat here again. For a French toast and coffee, it cost about $13, and if I got the meat lovers skillet and coffee, it would have been about $15.

Excellent and Busy.

Apple Valley Pancake House was excellent and busy. I had scrambled eggs and a Pancake. Both very well made and tasted good.

The lighting and atmosphere is bright and cheery. I noticed the bathroom, is clean, was not as updated as the rest of the restaurant.

My server was very good at taking the order but as I said, the place is busy.

We see this place busy every weekend, and we were excited to try. This place is small but able to accommodate quite a few tables. We were there at breakfast on a Saturday. We were early, and there was plenty of seating available. The service was quick and efficient.
They have a large menu of diner type items. We only ordered breakfast and coffee.
The coffee was good, and they had a bowl with a variety of creamers, including real half and half. Win.
We ordered blueberry crêpes, a blueberry Belgian waffle, and a plain blueberry waffle. We also ordered 2 sides of bacon, an over medium egg, a scrambled egg, and hash browns.
The waffles were both cooked well. The eggs and hash browns were also good. But, the blueberry sauce/topping was cold, so it was unpleasant to bite into ice cold blueberries. That also made the whole crêpe dish and the waffle go cold.
The bacon was not good at all! I haven’t found much bacon that I don’t love. This was awful, I don’t know if it had no salt or smoke or what, but bland is an understatement.
The crêpes are not even close to crêpes. They are blintzes. They were thin for a pancake, very thick for a crêpe, and filled. Then, smothered in cold fruit sauce. The filling was tasty, but being just warm made it less than enjoyable.
Everything separately was tasty (not the bacon) just not prepared together in a way that made the most of the ingredients.
I doubt that we will get up early to go there again.
